I moved back up to the uppers this year. THe price difference just wasn't worth it. I'm on the rail in the perch this year. It seems like the tickets are free the payments were so low compared to last year

Party perch was kind of a let down in my opinion. Not terrible, but not amazing. It's just an open space with a plain bar put in the middle. When I went, it was cramped in there. The whole band stand thing was basically non-existant, other then a crap overhang above the bar.
It was a cool concept, I just wasn't amazed by it. I could be let down because I had high hopes for it.

apparently theres an additional section of the perch yet to be opened, because of permits and such
according to BSS it will be ready by Opening Night

everyone was on the lower level. there was an upper level with one big guy in a suit, so i assume security.
