Question LSU vs. Southern University (Football)

What is the reason that LSU will never play Southern University in football? They play them in baseball and basketball, but never football. Why is that?
I was looking over their history and the two have never played even during LSU dog years? It appears that LSU never schedule any Historically Black Colleges in their history. At least those universities have put out NFL talent unlike the likes of Furman, Louisiana College, and Townson.
Just asking, I always wanted to know the reasoning?

It would be a pointless reason to divide the city, not a quality win for LSU, and probably racist.

I've heard that Southern has requested a return game before, during negotiations. That would put an immediate kibosh on the idea. Also, Towson hasput players in the NFL, don't know about Furman, and when was the last time LSU played LC?

Southern would bring a ton more fans than Furman. Look at when they played UL-L a few years back.

Because it is a terrible idea for both schools - especially Southern.
Why would Southern take a pay cut from their non-conference road games that they are getting from Houston and in a few years Georgia, just so that they can get whipped in their own hometown?
It would be an embarrassment to Southern Athletics to play LSU on the gridiron.
Southern allowed nearly 1000 yards rushing in a three game stretch earlier this season. Jeremy Hill would have 200 yards rushing at halftime.

In a couple of years, yes.

It would have been great to see both 2003 teams play each other......I mean I know Southern would lose, but it would have been epic hype for the city!
