Scholarship sanctions, and possibly coaching and recruiting restrictions, are expected to be only part of the punishment. Those restrictions are definitely expected for some former UM coaches who have since left the program. One big unknown is whether the Hurricanes, who already self-imposed postseason bans in 2011 and ’12 (encompassing two bowl games and the Atlantic Coast Conference title game) will be hit with another bowl ban.
The Canes could also be hit with financial penalties. And some are wondering if certain former players tied to the scandal will be barred from campus or games, or if any victories or records will be vacated.

As they should be at this point. Miami has done just about everything right and seem to run a very clean program now given the history and temptations in the vicinity of the school.

When will the NCAA announce the Alabama sanctions for having staff members give players money?

Can they "vacate" Paul Dee from all official records then?

...and his "report" on USC?

Now that would be a sanction I could get on board with.

12-15 schollies over 3 years and time served for bowl bans is the rumor. The real win for Miami is for the book to finally be closed.

With Manziel, Ha-Ha and other SEC players/institutions getting wrist slaps, it better not be more than the above stated.

Frick the NCAA for dragging this out 3 years.

Miami has supposedly already "given up" scholarships the last two years plus they banned themselves from two bowls and the ACC Championship game.

I kinda hope they go light on you. If you get off light, SC's lawsuit vs. NCAA has more ammo.

Screw those MF'ers.

NCAA should hand down an apology. The fact that this has drug out for so long compared to Manziel, Cam, HaHa, etc. is fricking preposterous. Just goes to show that the system favors those who plead the 5th compared to those (like AJ Green/UGA and Miami) who have been forthright and cooperative.

HaHa gets two games for receiving money from a coach while Green gets four for selling his own jersey? I can't wait for this fraud of an organization to finally whither away and die.

I hate Miami as much as any team, but they really shouldn't get any punishment. They already self-imposed 2 bowl bans. If anything, the coaches involved should get show clauses. The real kicker is if Frank Haith will get a show clause since he supposedly had the bball team pretty tied up in the whole mess

they shouldn't have any added penalties so this would be a good thing.

The difference is monetary value and AJ tried to cover it up at first

If they don't vacate some wins then the NCAA is fricking worthless.

Uh, no. He was completely forthright with the NCAA. He even gave them his bank statements showing the deposit of the money he had received for the jersey sale. He and UGA played it completely by the NCAA's rules, thinking that honesty would be the best policy. Clearly it wasn't/isn't.

ETA: Not to mention, Green also paid back all the money he received for the jersey and still got hit with the 4 games.
