Brooklyn Nine Nine is good stuff. I'm really enjoying it.

Hopefully Fox doesnt Fox.

• "Sleepy Hollow" (Fox) -- This is one hit few saw coming. Fans appear to love it, and USA Today called it the "best new show."

Anyone care to give a synopsis of this? It looks like a time crossed, buddy cop, crime drama. Why does it have so much buzz?

Because it just works. The leads have really good chemistry. I cant really put a finger on it, but it just works.

It's batshit insane. In a totally fun way, not in a so bad it's good way like The Cape.

Everyone involved in the show seems to understand the tone this show needs to be successful. They get that's its more than a little preposterous and roll with it in an entertaining way. Definitely not appointment, "important" TV but a show I am happy to watch each week.

• "The Goldbergs" (ABC) -- So far, so good. Ratings have been decent, and this comedy might just swing a second season. According to Deadline, more scripts have already been ordered.

Anyone seen all the episodes? I watched the Pilot and thought it was so-so.

Is that the one narrated by Patton Oswalt and has Jeff Garlin and Geroge Segal? I enjoyed the first episode, but haven't made it must see TV or anything.

Yeah, I gave it a chance with the pilot because I like Garlin and I was a kid in the 80's so had some funny nostalgia in the pilot, wasn't anything groundbreaking, just wondering if I should keep going and if it got any better.

I've seen every episode of The Goldbergs, and I'll admit that I really like it. The cast is good, the writing is pretty good, and it's set in the 80s. I'm a sucker for anything 80s.

And I really wanted to like The Michael J. Fox show, but after the first 2, I bailed. Did it get better?

"The Crazy Ones" has been a real surprise.

We DVRed it because...hey...Robin Williams. I recommend checking it out.

I just saw in the link that Welcome to the Family was cancelled, but The Millers is counted as a hit.

I DVR'd the pilots a couple weeks ago when they aired the same night. Welcome to the Family showed some potential and had some likeability. I deleted The Millers about 2 minutes in.

It makes sense that the one I liked would get cancelled and the one with the fart jokes stays around.

Brooklyn 99 is funny and has a lot of potential to keep getting funnier. I hope they haven't given it the axe yet.

I said this in a thread before, but I liked Ben & Kate last year and they gave it a full season before cancelling it. Brooklyn 99 is funnier than Ben & Kate was. And is funnier than the Mindy Show, which I think is okay.

Does it bother anyone else about the Goldbergs that they have references to just about every year in the 80's?

Like they'll be all up in Pac Man or Rubik's Cubes(early 80's), and the next scene they'll be talking about something from 1988 or 1989.
They are all over the decade, trying to throw every pop cultural item and song in the pot.

JAmes spader and the music are the only reason I am still tuning in to this show. I also somewhat enjoy the premise, but there are a lot of things that are just way over the top and unbelievable.

Spader can apparently leave the city/state/country whenever and without anyone knowing where he is.

Not to mention that the main characters husband is some international spy/double agent and no one knows it or knows there is a connection to Spader somehow.

This description makes me think some studio heads at CBS read the Following thread on this board and decided to up the ante.

Klaus ftw! I like the the new show better than The Vampire Diaries. Very smart move to give Klaus his own show
