Somewhere along the line Les has stopped rewarding good play/hard working and has started playing the big named freshman hoping he is another TM7 or E Reid, or he plays the guys he likes to a fault. In the past most Tiger greats redshirt because you simply are not ready to play mentally or physically as a freshman. On the other hand he plays older folks who should not be playing simply because they should be playing.

Examples on this team: How is it that they can justify playing D.J. Welter when Lamar Louis had more solo tackles in 1 quarter than DJ did all game?

How is it that Jalen Collins, someone who started games for you last year, is all of a sudden so trash that he can't see the field when every corner not named Rashard Robinson is getting burt like toast. Tre White will be great but he is not physically ready right now.

How is it Corey Thompson fills in at FS and SS in back to back weeks and plays good but can't see the field this week even with lackluster safety play.

Lastly, to the Dline. You can not tell me that Players like Mickey Johnson and Justin Maclin who have been in your program for 3 + years are not decent enough to give you snaps so your starters can have a breather. Because you've now wasted T. Bower and C. LaCouture's redshirt because they've had zero impact on the games.

Nb4 players don't stay four years anymore let me remind you kevin minter, sam Montgomery, keke mingo, michael ford, and bennie logan were all four year players.

Very simple! No leadership on either side of the ball. Mett. looks like he wish he was back at Ga., never talks to the offense when on the bench to get them fired up & no 1 on the defense have steeped up. Jalen Mills has learned how to jump up & down when the other teams scores an easy td.

so did you give Les credit when the defense did well under chavis??? bc just about every fans especially those critical of les thought he stayed out of the defense. but now all of a sudden miles controls....

your batting average isn't as good as you think here. unless you're talking on campus for four years and redshirted. that doesn't equal playing for four yrs.

The problem is that we just are not that good this year. Maybe people knew before the season started, but some progress being made, and some decent games masked that fact. We just came crashing back to earth on Saturday (that combined with a Les brain fart that should not really surprise anyone since it happens every season).

The issue now is whether they can pull themselves together and salvage a decent season, or whether we drop a couple of more games, neither of which would surprise me.

I went to the game and love LSU, But its time to take off the purple glass's. Our def may be the worst at LSU in 20 years. Our LB play is real bad. Also why is there a 5 yard gap between our DE AND DT you can drive a truck threw that hole and Ole Miss did no adjustments

Our run defense, the problems with which people have pointed out since game 1, came back to bite us again. Ole Miss jammed it down our throats.

Sometimes twice a season! The predictability of this is amusing.

LSU no longer signs all of the best talent in the state. The last BCS game performance hurt our program more than anyone could have foreseen. We have not had a top five recruiting class since. I believe the days of LSU being dominant in the SEC are past for the near future. We are now just a good program that will win often (especially if we have two or three rent-a-win games per year) and lose possibly two-four SEC contests annually. If one is satisfied with that position, then so be it. I, as an alum, feel that we are paying top dollar and not performing as a top tier program any longer. Sorry if that makes me fair weather. I consider myself as a realist in not being enthused about being second, third and this year, possibly fifth best in the West.

This is the whole problem with or fan base and Les' way of thinking these are three once in a generation players who just so happened to come in three successive years. You are not going to get that on the regular. These players were that good to play as freshman. Outside of kendall beckwith and Rashard these freshman aren't ready to play.

When did this start? At the beginning of the season he was very engaged with his receivers and the rest of the offense. I'm worried that changing the offensive gameplan for Florida to something that very much resembled last year's has totally thrown off our rhythm on that side of the ball. Granted, Mett had a really bad night in Oxford, but our offense just isn't clicking anymore. After averaging over 40 points/game in the first 6 games, we are now averaging only half of that. I don't want to buy into the conspiracy theory that Miles is meddling in the offense again, but it's clear that something just isn't right.

Can't explin this one. HOpefully Lamar is the man going forward.

HAve you watched football this season? Tre white >>>>> Collins. Not even close. Montclif worked Simon last year.

He only played because of injuries.

No one objectively watching the game can say tre white has played any better than J Collins did last year or this year. Tre is definitely more athletic and has greater upside. But as of today tre is not physically ready. He has gotten beat deep every game and his one pick was a gift.
