Everybody on the rant needs to chill out.

I hate losing a game as much as the next guy but all this talk about firing coaches and the "decline" needs to stop. Yeah, we lost a game to a team that we should have handedly beat. It happens. We have been so spoiled with great seasons over the past few years that people expect perfection every single game. This is still a quality football team/coaching staff and they need our support in order to move forward and right these wrongs. As frustrating as Miles can be, he is one of the best coaches in the nation and I guarantee there are 100 other programs who would love to be in our position right now. Think before you post.

Agree. Firing Les won't make things any better and I am not ready to jump to this "decline" conclusion yet.

I guess most people are just like me who is so frustrated to see a productive offense getting wasted because of a terrible D

Let's be fair, you don't need a perfection game to beat this Ole Miss team. That's what really drives people crazy.

Couldn't agree more, and I believe after everyone starts to chill out, they will once again become the same Tiger faithful they were before yesterday. Just like what they did after the 2011 BCS "incident".

I am almost sold on this. But you need to also remember how much we paid this guy for doing his job. There are also more than 100 guys out there who would love to be in Les's position.

It was mentioned in an earlier post, but it was a great point: How many years under Les has the team improved as the season went on?
"Righting wrongs" ain't gonna happen.

The way I see this loss... Is as a wake up call for the team. Even with a ruined championship season and having to settle for less, I don't see anything wrong with ruining a certain teams season. You know our guys have to be hungry for Bama. Decline? No. LSU is a very good team. We've just flipped the talent to a different side of the ball than usual. You get what you get, and if that's the damn chicken bowl then so be it.

LSU is the only team who has ever lost a game. Les Miles is the only coach who has ever made a mistake. Only LSU fans should be allowed to have birthdays.

But we lost to a depleted unranked ole miss. I know many here have unreasonably high expectations but many also would understand a loss to Bama a&m and even UGA. But we just lost in a very ugly way to fricking ole miss- Unranked and injury decimated ole miss. That is simply not acceptable. It is inexcusable and inexplicable to lose like that to a team like that. Plain and simple. I'm not calling for miles head, but as fans it's not out of line to thoroughly criticize miles and his coordinators for not preparing this team and not making good decisions during the game. That's all.

How many mistakes is Les allowed to make in your eyes? I mean it seems by your comments that you have written a blank check here. Usually ( and I use this term loosely) people learn from their mistakes. It seems at least puzzling as to how the same ones keep occurring with Miles.

Do all of those programs pay as much as LSU does?
Seems like if all we want is a nice 2nd-4th place finish in the SEC West and the Chicken Bowl ... we should pay a little less.
Ole Miss had to resort to walk-ons and still won.

LSU fans are paying Ruth's Chris prices and getting the product of a steak from Chilli's.
And then told that we have the audacity to demand better.

At the beginning of the year, many predicted that Ole Miss would be the One Upset Game in our season. Now it happens, and the Rant goes nuts.

We lost toThe Runts on a team of Runts. We pissed away a chance at a championship to Ole Miss...not UGA, not Florida, not Bama, not Auburn....Ole Miss.

It's not "that" we lost its "how" we lost and "who" we lost to.
And please don't compare us to "100 other teams" I want to be compared to the teams that are at the top. Right now we're a mediocre top 25 team.

We are definitely a threat and still a 8-10 win football team. We're just not elite anymore.

Why is that funny? Of course we're better than the teams from the max and sun belt. Clearly you're fine with that.
We should want to be better than teams that actually matter (aka top 25). We are mediocre compared to those teams.
