LSU was beaten by a team that wanted it more last night! Not unlike the Jan. 2012 NCS debacle (21-0). Our players reflect their coaches in being satisfied to compete, not driven to win! Miles and Chavis are good men and coaches, but have lost the "fire" in their bellies and continue to make the same mistakes over and over. This inability to change tendencies despite the situation or score makes it easy for opponents to beat us in close games and makes more opponents ( even with less talent) able to keep games close and win in the end. Look at last years Bama and Clemson games, not to mention 2013 Georgia and Ole Miss last night. Chavis cannot change schemes to stop 2nd or 3rd and long regardless of field position or situation. If they do not change, we will slide back into mediocrity and again hope to be spoilers, not champions! This is a competitive league and the new coaches have raised the bar and fired shots over and into the bow!! Miles and Chavis must either "man up" or fade into irrelevancy. Cam Cameron is no different and needs to soul search as well. Finally, our players seem soft and lack pride and should either re-dedicate themselves to LSU and winning or move on. The truth is painful, but realizing it is our only hope to change!! Making great salaries as coaches or moving into the NFL are rewards for being champions at LSU both for players and coaches, but if self gratification is the goal, the team always suffers and can never achieve championship!! Let's hope for real change and leadership!!!! Geaux LSU!!!!!
