Mett was off last night. Even besides the 3 int, he had a half dozen other very poor throws.

I think Mett woke up and realized who he really is.

I have been wondering that as well. What could've happened before the florida game that caused the apparent shift. Was it an injury to someone that maybe hasn't been made public. Les hasn't always been honest about them. A hand, arm, shoulder injury could explain a lot.

TCU - Couldn't establish the run. Even with some struggles in the running game we ran more than we threw.

UAB/Kent St/Auburn - 2:1 run to pass

UGA - Couldn't run and had to keep up with UGA

So the only thing I see different the last two weeks is that Mett has struggled.

This. It's almost like Miles suddenly woke up and decided to bring back last year's offense.

2 things that changes your offense is 1. Playing from behind the whole game(Ole Miss). 2. Playing a great defense who tries to take away your strengths(OBJ,Landry) which resulted in us running it down their(Florida) throats..imo

The game plan against Florida and Ole Miss (for the first half) was run on first and second and then throw on 3rd and 5+. Even when we 'took shots' they were on slow developing play action plays with 2 WR routes. Early in the season we spread things out early in the series (1st and 2nd downs), that strategy was completely a abandoned against Florida and the first balf against Ole Miss. It is the same thing Les has done in most big games, I can promise this is not Cam's choice.

If people don't think the offensive strategy has changed then you clearly were not paying attention to the first half of the season.

Thank you. Totally predictable sets and play calling.

Even then. Hill rode the pine. Inexcusable.

Wow, just wow.

1st and 10 at MISS 38 Zach Mettenberger pass intercepted by Chief Brown at the Miss 0, returned for no gain for a touchback.

1st and 10 at MISS 20 Zach Mettenberger pass intercepted by Cody Prewitt at the Miss 0, returned for no gain for a touchback.

2nd and 4 at LSU 47 Zach Mettenberger pass intercepted by Charles Sawyer at the Miss 11, returned for no gain to the Miss 11.

Maybe that R-R-P gameplan would have worked better?

Miles decided he wanted to run it down UF and OM throats early in the game. The only passes thrown were on third and medium to long, allowing the defense to stack the line against the run and pin their ears back on third down.

I think it also took Mett totally out of his rhythm, and it seems to have hurt the performance of the O-line in the pass blocking game.

He tried to fix something that wasn't broken (and broke it), while refusing to fix things that need to be fixed (his time management skills, the worst performing LB corp I can remember at LSU with Welter and to a lesser degree Barrow playing terribly, a repeatedly failing defensive approach on all third downs and last minute drives, etc.).

There is a lot to like about Les Miles, but when you pay your head coach more than 4 million a year, these kinds of things should not continue to be issues for your football program.
