I remember people used to get this way in the 80s and 90s with the Basketball program. This Dale Brown 2.0.

Les' teams are consistently inconsistent, and no one that has been paying attention should be surprised or angry or anything else. Hell, in his glory year, he lost to two 6-6 teams Rather than be dissappointed, just expect this 2-4 times a year and try to enjoy the good times.

Look on the bright side, they may not win them all, or even look competent, but I gaurantee you it will never be boring.

I am probably the only one old enough to remember the "Dean of SEC Coaches".

The only solace I can take from this game is - even if we had pulled it out and somehow had squeaked out a close win, we STILL are not in the same league as: bama, Oregon, Ohio State, and Florida State. And God help us if we had to play Baylor or even Missouri right now.

Maybe, but Dale took a turd and just about turned it into a diamond. So you could be more forgiving...

Les has kept the success going well, but when you've lost three out of your last four bowl games and one of those was one of the worst flops ever in the BCSNC, you start looking at things a little differently. I've always thought he was a good coach (considering our record) that would make you lose your mind a couple of time each year with total head scratching decisions. So on that part, I do agree with you.
