Has the Decline Started?

LSU is being beaten on the recruiting trail by the Bama, Ole Miss and the aggies of the world. This team is not any better than a 500 ball club and it showed its' true colors last night. Miles has not been able to find a Quarterback worth a frick since he has been here and he still hasn't. I believe we are witnessing that decline all the other schools have been implying we are in. Miles is to stubborn to realize his faults and correct them. He is being out recruited and it is catching up to him and LSU. A team like Missouri has better players than we do hell Ole Miss has better younger talent and is better coached. By a high school coach.

You know what a "500 ball club" means, right?

Its what Ole Miss was until last night.
Its what LSU will be at the end of the year, except for the Akron, UAB type easy wins.

It started after bcs title beatdown. Its only going to get worse next yr. and i can only imagine what the stands will look like.

With uninspiring wins, morale crushing losses, and increased ticket and parking prices, the stands will look very empty.
But, hey, we have Les Miles, the winningest coach in SEC history. Yay!

Delusional LSU fans are going to have to see the string play out and take their medicine on this regime.

beardedzeus- that may be what it takes to get rid of Miles and Aleava. It damn sure worked to send Smoker down the road. Let the stands be empty and they will find the money to buy his arse out.

It's looking that way after last night. What's worse is the fan base is eroding as well. When you try to compare your successes against BAMA, you're setting yourself up for a major let down. The 2 programs are not even close now so if the comparison is BAMA based, yes the decline is in full swing.

you mean like the 5 or 6 other games miles lost throughout his tenure he should have won and have on his resume?
2005- Ut
2006- i give miles a pass
2007-no excuse losing to UK or arky player management was garbage in those games along with OTFD.
2008-arky
2009-ole piss and penn state
2010-i give him a pass
2011- i give him a pass(could count bama but i will not)
2012-clemson (we could count UF but i won't, i'll give him a pass)
2013-ole piss
so really we are at 8 games when i only used 5 or 6 in my example.

I can see it. Always beat the 5 easy teams and have a couple wins against the mediocre ones and lose the rest. Constant 7-8 win seasons.

In your scenario, yes, 2006 gets a pass, but that was our most talented team in the last decade, imo.
And the Auburn game was squarely on Miles shoulders.
Number 1 overall draft pick and 3 first round WR, and we can't score more? Completely shut down the offense the whole game.

I AGREE! that team could have won a NC! So could have the 2012 team had we beaten bama. so you see how conservative i actually am in my critique of LESS. It could have been worse.
