for suggesting we try to throw the ball vertically too much.

"Is Mett too greedy?" I asked..."Many of his ball are over 25 yards down field"

I was told to shut up "you're and idiot" "Just enjoy the new offense" ...etc

Well, I think we got greedy last night when we sniffed a score. 3 INTS..

2 of which were in the end zone...the balls were short, late- and lacked velocity.

Another observation is several of Mett's balls didn't have the same tight spiral we are used to seeing..

I think he might have a hand injury

We didn't throw vertically too much. We threw vertically too poorly.

idk about a hand injury but I agree we should have lined up and ran it down their throats last night...bad game plan...

I didn't have a problem with the game plan, Mett just didn't check down and find the open receiver...all 3 pics were into double coverage

I think he was wanting big stats last night and paid dearly for being impatient

Both IMHO: greedy and poorly

They were poor because of bad throws, underthrown into the endzone most of the time.

Greedy because that is what OM chose to take away, and did effectively. Had no business even attempting them.

I think Mett had trouble reading the coverage. It looked 1-on-1 when he lasered in on them (and he didn't look anybody off on all three INTs) and the help came from unexpected spots (i.e. not always safety over the top).

Mett had 3 bad decisions and it cost him. The offense was still good enough to have won the game. The LSU defense is simply not good enough to be depended on.

Tough call here...It may seem obvious, but if you are throwing it poorly then quit throwing it. Some nights you have 'it' some you don't. Either Mett doesn't see the double coverage 'somehow' or he forced the ball...either way...STOP IT and check down. On the last successful drive he went underneath several times...

Physical errors by the players are more excusable to me than mental ones by the staff. The lack of a TO at the 0:20 mark was unforgiveable.

I honestly think that the entire team was not mentally prepared for the game last night. The INTs were certainly poorly chosen passes to attempt, but not terribly inaccurate. One was definitely thrown short of the intended mark. The other two were on target, but were easily read by the Ole Piss secondary and ripe for picking. If Mett hadn't stared down OBJ for the entirety of his route, and possibly taken a look at the other wide-fricking-open receiver, it may have turned out differently.

And if the queen had balls, she'd be the king....

Or go to your backup QB. If the starter is performing so poorly that you have to abandon large portions of the pass, then you put the next guy in. Luckily LSU has a stable of QB's that have been given plenty of prep work against the cupcakes on our schedule that they can come in and confidently perf... wait.

Mett had a bad game, it happens.

It's still about the lack of a single playmaker on defense.

Nothing changed last night.

Mett played with his head up his arse last night.
Of course, he has never been good with his deep throws. Last year he consistently missed wide open guys on long throws. The next time he hits a streaking receiver in stride will be his first.

The game plan was ill-conceived. The O line play was poor. This is against a pretty crappy and very depleted Ole Miss D.

Of course, none of that matter when the defense can't stop anyone and the opposition puts up 525 of total offense.

3 of those runs were Mettenbeger's sacks that went for -30 yards. LSU RB's ran the ball 31 times which is uncharacteristic of our offense. We got too cute and went away from our game. The rebel defensive front 7 stayed fresh for the entire first half because they weren't getting punished.

All I know was that Jameis Winston was throwing plenty of short quick throws last night and it looks to have worked out quite well for them.

Just like the Florida game in 2006. Never put Flynn in and let Russell take a breather and see the field. Fumble & 3 ints. Chief and Cam was not here. What coach was? 2 loss les
