I figured going into the year this team could lose four games. It sucks the way in which this game was lost, it is on the coaches, but I think it's a shame that fans are giving up on the team.

That includes the players, the same players we may want to stay in a couple of years. We need to get behind the guys.

Honest question...would the fanbase still dislike Les if Bama wasn't so successful? I feel like we have to set the bar at a title each year and when we don't reach that goal it's utter failure...justified or not.

What makes it so hard is not that you had it bad, but that you're that pissed that so many others had it good. - Melvin Udall

Good take. If Bama wasn't raking in titles, we wouldn't be so angry. The wealth would be spread around...instead we are comparing our current team to a dynasty.

Wait a sec. Ole Miss had 6 defensive starters out of the game. They had enough talent, coaching and motivation to overcome it. We don't have any of that.

Losing players is part of being successful. A successful coach would be able to recruit and coach up the next set of players.

Losing players to the NFL is a convenient crutch. Absolutely no defensive aggressiveness. That's what you get when you way for the offense to come to you instead of taking it to them. Tackling is atrocious and has been all year long. C O A C H I N G

This d had all spring plus 7 games under their belt.

They played against a team whose freshmen are playing beyond their years and a qb whose stats were at one point near the bottom of the sec.

Its only covenient that chavis philosophy of bend but don't break doesn't get called out when we're playing a defense with ALL FRESHMAN. The rant atleast will make you believe that

Yep. Supposedly top 10 classes for the last 4 years excluding Les' bust in 2012. Enough talent should have been there to limit Ole Miss to less than 500 yards. So, either it isn't and Les ain't the recruiter people around here think he is, or he and his staff can't coach 'em up. Pick.

The defense is just not that good. It appears to be the talent and the coaching.

We have some playmakers, but just not enough of them. Some of the players are just not that good.

Sometimes players come into the program and they are already as good as they are ever going to be as Freshmen. They matured early. They can a little better with coaching and experience, but physically they have already peaked.

This thread is yet another variation on the same theme: Les Miles is a mediocre coach who is still reaping the benefits of the Nick Saban years. The cracks are getting worse every year.

The thing that really pisses me off is that Miles has always been given waaaay too much credit than he deserves - as evidenced by big $$ and contract extensions. The latest contract extension keeps me up at night. That was not a wise thing to do.

We screwed up hiring this guy and now it's too much of headache to replace him. So instead we put him on a pedestal, and throw flowers at his feet. "World's greatest recruiter". "Charming and funny". "Loved by his players". I'll gladly trade all these for a few more Crystal Balls.

Nick Saban hasn't coached here in almost a decade. Not a single player or coach from his tenure has contributed to the program in years. LSU's most dominant season in the modern era happened over 7 years after Saban left. Jesus, dude.

You might want to get a life, then.

That's right they got up for this game and won. But let me remind you, they lost to Bama, A&M and Auburn earlier this year and will lose again.

Do you understand what you just said? Ole Miss is not a very good team. They got beat by better teams A&M, Auburn and Alabama. We will probably get beat by Alabama and A&M as well. LSU slipped past an improving Auburn team, we were lucky to catch them early. Bottom line is that in 2013 we are looking at 4th in the West. If Missouri were in the division like so many of you want, we'd be 5th.

Yes. Lsu shouldn't be happy with third or forth best in the sec west and forth or fifth best in the sec.

Chick fil a bowls every year is not what Lsu is paying for.. Inconsistent offense for most of Miles offense is not what LsU is paying for. Lack of consistent player development is not acceptable. Not recruiting well enough to land the top players in Louisiana is embarrassing. Continuous game day blunders like this are tired and old.

Face it LSU is accepting 4th best in the sec. Elite programs don't accept average. USC didn't do it, ohio st didn't do it, UF didn't do it, Bama didn't do it, and Michigan didn't do it.

We have conceded ourselves to average. Face it.

Pussy arse excuse , Bammer lost a bunch and started the year off looking vulnerable and now have only given up 16 points in the last 5 games....freaking 16 points that's outstanding no matter who you play. And the reason is coaching. We have plenty of talent im sorry but they are not getting the coaching that they need. This loss is squarely on les for not getting his team and coaching staff motivated enough to go to oxford and put this team away. They played last night with no sense of urgency and no intensity.

I love the retard fans such as yourself that show up only after a loss. Feel free to jump off a bridge douche bag. What kind of inbred half wit could possibly come up with Miles still living off Saban? You're a joke dude. Thanks for the laugh this morning.

Furthermore...how did the season finish last year with all those nfl players? Were we consistent on offense? Were we able to prevent last second drives against Bama Clemson and UF? Was there not enough player development?
