I really hate his logic. This isn't boxing, this year's Bama team is not the same as last. As of October 18 it is quite clear who has the most impressive win and it is not Alabama.

Also it's not as if Bama went unbeaten last year. They fricken lost a game, and were just fortunate enough to have other teams lose and play a mediocre ND team for the title.

Strong second half, looks like we may cover the spread, which was 40.
Oregon might be able to jump ahead with games against UCLA and Stanford coming up.
Florida State's SOS may end up weaker than Oregon's as well. The PAC 12 has a higher computer rating because they have more "average teams" than the ACC. non conference Oregon will have beaten Tennessee and FSU will have beaten Florida. Who knows whether the Vols or the Gators will have a better record at the end of the season with the chaos in the SEC.

I don't care if they beat everyone 63-0 last year. In boxing, the Champ is the SAME GUY. The 2013 Alabama team is different from the 2012 team. Sure they have some of the same guys, but a lot are gone, It is a different year and a different team, just ask their coach.

And the biggest reason Clemson was ranked so high was for barely beating UGA. UGA may not even make a bowl game now

That is the dumbest (though very common) argument of all time. What you are saying here is the preseason poll is a fact. What we think about these teams in July, before any games are played should trump what happens during the season.

This is at least a valid argument. Going into today, I thought Oregon was the best team. And they might be, but they have not gone on the road and beaten a top 5 team by 37. No one has a more impressive win the FSU had tonight. They should be #1 right now. Maybe but the end of the season it will be justifiable for them to be #3, but right now there is not.

You may hate the logic but it's true. I've been an FSU fan since I was a kid, but I'm not going to rank them above Alabama. It really doesn't matter come seasons end if you're 1 or 2, just as long as you're 1 or 2. Until Alabama proves they aren't deserving of the #1 ranking, I'll continue to say they're #1. They came into the season ranked there and haven't lost yet. Can't knock a team for winning.

Funny how when Bama throttles goats like Kentucky and Arkansas, they are just that good. UGA has had a terrible run of injuries, that is not Clemson's fault. What win has bama had this year that is as impressive as FSU?
