Wilkinson County played the defending Class 3A state champions Hazlehurst Friday night. Voorhies had a great game even though Wilkinson County lost 58-40.

20 carries for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns, completed 11 of 16 passes for 180 yards with 1 touchdown and one interception. On defense he had 7 tackles.

For the year, the stats I've found from a few sources he is 82 of 134 for 1437 yards with 11 TD's and 4 INT passing.
117 carries for 1263 yards and 9 TD's
Defense he has had 29 tackles with 1 INT

Will look great in Purple and Gold. GEAUX TIGERS!

People tend to forget about him because he's been committed for so long and maybe because he's from Mississippi.

Thanks for the update

It makes you wonder why he keeps dropping in the rankings. He could play several positions and play all of them well.

I know this question is an extreme long shot but has anyone seen this guy throw? Does he have D1 talent as a qb whatsoever? I dont want him at qb or nothing and know it would never happen, just strictly curious.

Devin is SO good. I've knighted him and Sione since day one for this class. Devin has great long-strider skills, and a fluidity to him . He could be the surprise of the class.

I was under the assumption he was being recruited to play safety for LSU. He may not get as much talk as the big instate guys but from what I gather he's just as talented if not more. Some are more excited about him than the big name instate guys that get all the talk.

Voories is having a MONSTER season. Hes running the ball very well, but Im shocked at how efficient a passer he is. Hes around 70% completion on the season. Also hes a monster at S. Hes 1 of the more underrated guys not just committed to us, but in the nation. Since he committed early and shut down the recruiting life, a lot of people/scouts/etc forget about him.

Voorhies is a stud. And will def be on ST as a freshman. Im really impressed with him.

He needs to try out a RB or WR too. Dude sounds like a straight baller.
