Ahh. According to Wiki, we're just referring to two different series of Uncanny X-Force. I was talking about the current series.

And I got my Immortal Iron Fist vol 1 yesterday. Haven't started reading it yet though.

Bard, what x-men comics would you recommend?

If you want the best of the XMen, you have to go back to the original Claremont run (which would be 1975-ish to 1991-ish), especially the Claremont/Byrne years. This is great stuff like the Dark Phoenix Saga, the Days of Future Past, etc. It's 17 years worth of comic goodness.

I think Groot and Magneto would make really good Habitat for Humanity workers.

Whedon's Astonishing X-Men is just as good.Messiah Complex/House of M is a great starting point.

Scruffy's a good candidate for the Cyclops Army

ETA:

I'm aware of how terrible it is to call ourselves the "Cyclops Army". I gave myself douche chills when I read my post..

Well, there are some personality flaws. And as far as I know, Groot only knows one sentence.

But from a powers standpoint, a never ending supply of wood and guy that can manipulate metal could be very efficient home builders.

Whedon's Astonishing is okay. Maybe it's just my nostalgia but it doesn't really resonate with me like the Claremont stuff does.

House of M was pretty fun but considering how it all happened I've always thought of it as a really big "What If?".

You still read Bard? I started during the back part of the Claremont era so it took a little time for me to get adjusted to post-Morrison X-men writing but I'm telling you, it really has been a consistently good run.

Yes, but they dissolve after an hour or so.

Is it weird that the only things I can think about when watching Ultimate Spiderman or the Avengers cartoon is "Who pays for all these repairs?" and "Is that guys car insurance going to cover the Juggenaut throwing it at Spiderman?"
