Cause the difference between 15 and 30 years is almost a couple hundred thousand.. Pay it off in 15 years and then that 1500 plus can be used to invest and your not paying out more to interest

Yea, but can you get more than 4.25% investing that money now? That's what it really comes down to. Interest rates will be much higher than 4.25% in the next few years and having money borrowed at that rate will be a hell of a deal.

Alright.. I think I see what your saying..

Interesting.
I can't find the data a little past 10 years (especially on returns rather than share value) to confirm or deny this.
IDK then....I'd still be leary of investing in something so heavily in junk bonds

A simple yahoo finance search give you the yearly returns since conception

But that isn't past 20 years, is it? Which is what I said I was trying to independently find.
I don't pay attention to "since inception" for very old actively traded funds.
Financial climate is VASTLY different.
You are over a wide range of managers, the high average could be from a single manager that kicked arse 30 years ago.
The fund strategies given to the managers probably has changed several times.
So I consider data from more than 20 years or so to be largely irrelevant.
Now a passively traded index fund, more is better.

It gives you the returns for every year, average out the last 20 years and you'll get the number I posted earlier
