Down 12 with 4 minutes left and goes for two. Misses it and now has to get two tds rather than the possibility of a fg and td-2pt

That was Jason Garrettesque

Umm he needed a 2 pt after one of the TDs. Why not go for it after the first one? If you miss the first one you know you need another TD. If you miss after the second one you're fricked.

You go for 2 as late as possible to keep hope alive.

People always make this argument in these threads.

Y'all are wrong. DWI.

Ahaaaa you are the ultimate dumbass son. When you are against the clock with no timeouts if you are down 11 it allows you to save time by kicking as soon as you get in fg range and then onside kicking with the maximum amount of time left. You are stupid

OK so you kick the PAT. Then, you have to hope you go down and score on the best D in the league again and then go for 2. Or you just go for it earlier because deep down you know there is no way in hell you are going to; 1st, recover a pooch/onside kick. 2nd, stop the seahawks O. 3rd, get the ball and go score against the #1 D in the game. And finally get a 2pt conversion with the games on the line against the best D in the game. All of that with Carson Palmer at QB.

So, when you basically know youre going to lose, it really doesnt matter when you go for 2.

I mean i get what your saying. And if you are a team that is better than the Cards and a team that could actually get the ball back and go score, then sure you kick the FG then. But the Cards and Arians knew the game was over. No point in waiting. And a lot of luck has to fall in place for them to even have the opportunity to go for 2 after you score another TD.

He would have missed the two-point conversion anyway, so it doesn't matter.

He would have needed the 2-pt conversion regardless. Better to go for it early and have more time to react if something goes wrong.

"keeping hope alive" is a fricking stupid and illogical argument

This. Anyone that doesn't understand this is helpless.

now, throwing a hopeless jump ball to michael floyd against richard sherman didn't seem bright. hopefully, that wasn't the first option.

Yeah good call, if you need a TD and a FG there is still apparently hope, but if you need 2 TDs all hope is lost. Solid 'keep hope alive' argument.

Arians is an idiot for being the coach of the third team that hitched its wagon to Carson Palmer.

Carson Palmer is Matt Schaub with a better publicity team.

BTW, he went for two at the right time. It's better to know you need an extra score with 4 minutes left than finding out with 18 seconds left when you miss the 2 and you have no time to do anything about it.
