Why is Yuengling not sold west of Tennessee?

It would be extremely popular wherever it went.

I had always heard they just didn't want to increase production. The demand was as much as they could keep up with.

I find Brooklyn Lager has a pretty similar taste and it's available here in Baton Roudgjde

Don't have production to meet demand.

Seems like I remember they tried to buy a brewery in Memphis for expansion and it fell through.

I've heard interviews where they say it's because they don't want to distribute further than a truck can drive in a day, but that's BS and really it's all about production limitations.

Every state has different rules for distribution. Some breweries just do not want to be everywhere.

I've had Yuengling, found it average.

I have a special place in my heart for the largest American owned Brewery! Yuengling is both cheap and delicious. It was awesome back in college when picking up a case of beer "Hrm, we can buy a case of Bud lite or Yuengling for the same price...choices..."
