No one is forcing you to buy season tickets. If you don't like the prices or the schedule, don't buy them.

I actually like it. Keeps the riff-raff out.

Yeah. They could stop putting plaques all over the place that no one really cares to see

I dont think you understand the return on those plaques.. For example.. The award plaques required a 25k donation per player.. I have a good feeling they cost less than the combined donations..

If you want more money that is fine by me. But it comes with the tradeoff that I get more for my money.

How about we start with a working jumbotron that we actually use for video replay and not ad space. Include video scoring updates of other games and other nice, professional game day production value.

Hire real announcers for the game and get rid of the pathetic Hawthorne/Moreau team. These 2 guys are the worst.

I agree with this. LSU deserves a 1st class gameday experience. The entire production is in dire need of a complete overhaul. Tiger Stadium also needs better concessions. People come to Louisiana all the time just for the food. Don't give me mother fricking hummus and sushi in Tiger Stadium. Give me jambalaya, gumbo, catfish, etc. At the very least make sure the nachos and popcorn aren't stale for the 1st game.

Irrelevant to the Tiger Stadium experience.

This motherfricker has had to issue TWO apologies for gameday frickups THIS SEASON. And he has the gall to send this out...

Agreed. What an arrogant prick to announce that at this time.

Yesterday-I can do nothing to improve your gameday experience.
Today-I can charge you more for that experience though.

I agree with this. How about getting your shite straight for once before raising damn prices?

If they are having trouble filling the stadium now, wait until they raise prices and add a few thousand more seats.

Like an earlier post said, LSU may be getting close to the saturation point where it's just not worth going to the game anymore.

Don't confuse fans not showing up with fans not buying tickets. They sell all their season tickets and have people waiting in line. LSU gets paid whether or not they show up.

Would this be a good time to donate $100 this year and $100 January 2014 in order to get season tickets? Would buying bball season tickets help with points?

You are right but you cannot deny that the seeds of apathy aren't out there.

In order to make this announcement go over more smoothly, they should say "we will be raising prices next year AND you will be getting ....... in return for your investment".

I do believe fans are reconsidering spending all this money vs staying home, but I don't think it's unique to LSU. Attendance seems to be an issue at a lot of places, including the NFL.

LSU needs to explore other revenue options than just raising ticket prices every 3 years.

As for the flexible pricing plan, the athletic department is seeking approval to price tickets based on opponent and the date of the game.

This is already in place based on opponent is it not? What is date of game pricing?
