Maybe one of the last panty raids was in 69 om week.. My buddy and I carried some books so we could lie about coming back from studying. We got stopped by Barney Fife asking where we had been. Why studying sir said we; see our books,

When I was at LSU Eli was at Ole Miss. I still love beating them down, and i really wish they didn't have so many guys hurt.

The traditions had pretty much died off by my time, besides I suppose, Go to Hell, Ole Miss, Go to Hell! (I am not even an OM hater, but it does have a lilt to it, doesn't it?). but I love talking with some old(er) timers about the panty raids and general hell raising that was associated with the lead-up to the Ole Miss game. My father-in-law had to have a sitdown with Dean of Students for leading a "mob" of students in the Go to Hell cheer from the top of a rolling dumpster that some young men had commandeered and pushed toward the coed dorms. I suspect those were some pretty good times.

I was at that panty raid back in '69. My roommate got caught by the police. He and numerous other guys were loaded into the patty wagon. Do you know what their punishment was? They were not allowed to attend the LSU Ole Miss game. Not a big deal since the game was played in Jackson that year and Ole Miss probably cost LSU a NC. Do you remember the dumpster fires? The girls that I knew back then told me that they would go to a dime store and buy panties that would fit a 200 pound woman. Of course the panties were very cheap. They also told me that since the guys who caught the panties, sniffed them, they would rub the panties on the crack of their arse before they threw them out.

Your post brought back those memories. My buddy that night in 69caught two pair one pair was large and pink, the other was lime green with a pink Monday across the front. That pair wasLARGE!! Bud slept with the smaller pair over his head that night. They did smell somewhat "assy". We were drunk as cooter brown a d never figured why Barney Fife didn't take us in what with everything going on that night . He was probably a good guy. Wish I could go back there for that one 69 season!!

Another memory was of the girls in the windows taking the panties off. What a roar went up from the guys. Those gals had a ball . I know some threw there own drawers. They knew how to keep it going! Lol
