What should I expect? I know the usual comebacks, but, how friendly are those Ole Miss folk?
TIA

Pretty friendly. Not as friendly as LSU fans. It will be very crowded.

Grove is as boring as Church. No loud music, no beer pong, no visible hard liquor = NO FUN.

They do have some beautiful women on campus though.

do not show anything that resembles alcohol on your person. A cop will take it away, especially if you're wearing an LSU shirt

hopefully you enjoy it more than I have. OM people are the most unclever bunch I've ever been around. Instead of talking about the game, or how their football team might win, they'll generally resort to personal verbal attacks.

It's quite pathetic

look at the positive side man. no loud music=the beautiful women can hear the sweet nothings you whisper in their ear; no beer pong=more time to trawl for the beautiful women; no visible hard liquor=cup. boring as church=pray she says yes to your sweet nothings.

No cans or bottles. Must be in a solo cup. They even have a hard time about carrying cases of beer. They said beer must not be seen. Carry in a bag. Their theory, ignorance is bliss.

It's been a while since I was there, but I didn't have the same experience as those who posted above. I had a great time and found the Rebel fans quite nice. Food was very good, although not the same kind of cooking you find at an LSU tailgate. The alcohol flows freely and the scene will keep your attention. China, chandeliers, prom dresses everywhere. They say at Ole Miss, "We may not win the game, but we've never lost a party." That says it all.

P.S. Make sure you know where to park. It's a long haul from most of the parking to the grove.

It blows. It's like a giant outdoor wedding reception with chicken ginger platters, stale crackers, and archaic drinking rules

Do NOT, under ANY circumstance, walk around with an open container.

My experience as well. Of course both times I went we were supposed to win big, and did.

Ok, thanks everyone for input. I have heard that they WILL NOT tolerate open containers, so, will heed that warning.

And we may not even go there, have some OM friends that may drag us.....thanks again.
