Question about LSU tailgating

I know the game is 5 weeks off, but I'm putting together everything right now (and you guys are our next away game)...
The best I can remember from my last trips to LSU were that the Parade Grounds and the area between Walk Ons and the stadium (off Nicholson Ext) are the best areas to tailgate for visitors. Is this still true?
We are hauling a shitload of equipment, and I'd like to set up on Friday, if possible.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you want to be harassed by a bunch of frat bros, I'd stay away

If you don't set something up to hold a spot by at least Friday, you won't have a good spot. There's visiting tents most places, but the parade grounds for a game this big will be taken up almost entirely by LSU fans.
Oh and GFY

Trust me when I say, the more hostile the atmosphere, the better!

Will male cheerleaders be escorting you to the tailgate?

There should be plenty of tailgating spots available in front of the Splash Night Club off Highland.

You have to be vetted first...
What was the name of that beast RB when y'all beat us in '95?

Parade ground is your best bet.

Greg Hill in 92 and Leeland in 94

But seriously, this all depends how big your tailgate is. If it's a small affair, I'd set up near Nicholson -- plenty of smaller tailgates, friendly people.
If it's a big deal, frick it, go on the parade grounds -- a big group of Aggies should be able to hold their own and avoid harassment from the Brahs.
You seem to be a vet, so I don't need to tell you that if you can take a few jokes and Tiger Baits, people will invite you in and wine/dine you. Frankly, if I was a visitor, I wouldn't even set up a tailgate...I'd just walk around and drink for free.

Set up closer to Walk Ons. It's much easier to get to on Friday and you won't have to worry as much about frat boy a-holes or undercover BRPD issuing MIPs.

WAlkons area will be easier to set up and park. But the parade grounds will be more entertaining and give you the best area for checking out tailgating and the sights... Just be prepared to pay to park.

If the tailgate atmosphere is anything like the LSU/bama game last year, you really should prepare your anus.

Thanks to all. I had to ask since some Ole Miss queefs complained about our loud music and size of tent.
There will be 300 plus in our crew. I know a couple posters here tailgated with us but I can't remember names of all except one. We will have a shot block for all that want to crash.
