Apparently Suh got fined around $31,500 for this hit on Brandon Weeden

LINK

I agree he has made mistakes in the past and has been deservedly fined, but this is ridiculous.

that's an absolute joke. the league needs to be fined for their unfair treatment of Suh. It's getting a bit absurd.

I don't want to hear anything about his 'reputation.' What did he do wrong on this hit? Ridiculous.

Absolute joke... At least it goes to charity, or is supposed to.

There's a look at it around 1:20 into the video linked in the article.

quote:

"No. 90 hits the quarterback, lowers his head, and it was not called. [It's a] potential helmet to the body," Blandino told a room full of NFL executives Monday.

"Potential helmet to the body", what the frick? Every hit is a potential helmet to helmet if the players move a little different. This hit was absolutely nothing. Suh's a dirty frick but this is ridiculous.

If only he would have hit Weeden in the head. Browns might have had a chance to win the game.

Huh? Every QB has no less than three cameras on them at all times.

So Blandino is the reason the NFL is turning so pussy?

If they can have that kind of command center, why are officials still putting their heads in booths. Why not just use those guys for Instant replay?

There is no way that hit should be fined.

Damn that is ticky tack.

I'm sure they are watching certain players under a more powerful microscope. Wouldn't be surprised if they were making an effort to fine him as many times as possible to build up his reputation for being a dirty player.

I told this board that this was going to happen, and I'm talking about the league using Suh's past to judge his conduct on the field. He did nothing wrong.
