Jalyn Patterson 6'1 (175) Alpharetta, GA (Montverde Academy, FL)
Transferred to one of the premier basketball prep programs in the country. Is a very reliable mid-range shooter, and a very good true PG. Given one year to hopefully back up Hickey he could be a very good and reliable PG. He has underestimated athleticism, very quick and crafty, and he keeps the ball on a constant string.
Concensus 3* on every site but is sure to jump up with a good year at Montverde.

Jalyn Patterson

Aaron Epps 6'9 (215) Tullos, LA (Tioga HS)
Not a heavily recruited player early on due mostly to his limited exposure at Tioga High, but came on late due to an outstanding summer circuit.
Athletic and versatile, Epps fits the mold of a CJJ recruit. He is long, athletic, runs the floor well, and for his size can handle the ball if need be and stretch the defense in certain situations, while having the defensive versatility to guard multiple positions.
Offers: Memphis, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, and La Tech.

Elbert Robinson 7'1 (320) Garland, TX (Lakeview Centennial)
The first thing that comes to mind is overpowering. Robinson uses his size and athleticism to bully other players and create his offense. Even though he is a big body at 7'0 300+, he is a good shot blocker and has good outside touch. He is able to bury other post players inside then go to his left hook which is his best shot. He also keeps the ball up which is very important for a big man.

Elbert Robinson

CJJ and staff have seemingly assembled another awesome and diverse class, that fills multiple needs and brings different types of players to an already extremely versatile LSU team.

The Blue Chipper: There is no question Robinson is the best and most highly touted recruit in this class. His sheer size gives LSU another weapon. Where Odo and Malone are more long, lanky, shot blocking centers, there is no question Robinson is the space eater that was needed. But what is so impressive about Robinson is that he has very good feet and hands for a big guy his size, and has nice touch from 14-16 feet.

The LA Talent: Aaron Epps until recently was a relatively unknown on the national stage, but after an impressive summer he exploded. He can shoot the mid-range jumper, runs the floor extremely well, and is a terror on the offensive glass. He adds to the bigs that can run and guard multiple positions, very undervalued and will be a good player in CJJ "system".

The Building Block: I use the term building block for Jalyn Patterson because that's exactly what he could become, a true PG that CJJ can rely upon to orchestrate the "system". He is very athletic IMO, and is a very good ballhandler. One year in a college weight training, and to gain experience behind guys like Hickey, Quarterman, and Hornsby, and this year at Montverde, he could very well be the steal of this class.

CJJ and staff may have done as well as anybody in the country in recruiting, including Coach Cal or any of the other powerhouses. You have to look at what he had to work with and where the program was at when he took over.
Coach Jones loses Coach Kirby to Memphis his home, but replaces him with an equally important recruiter in Korey McCray who basically is the Godfather of GA Elite basketball. Coach Patrick has brought his connections from Australia to be in the mix or get guys like Darcy Malone, Dante Exum, Jonah Bolden, or Ben Simmons.
While the 2013-2014 season has not started yet, it is never too early to look ahead at a very tentative depth chart.

I know there are 14 so somebody would have to leave or somebody go walk-on. This is not at all indicative of what would the lineup look like or how minutes would go as multiple guys can play multiple positions Mickey at SF, Quarterman at PG, etc…. Just unbelievable what CJJ has assembled thus far and the new attitude.

Then there is always 2015……..
