When have we ever fumbled this much? I think this is a fluky thing and I know the coaches are working on it. Our defense isn't creating a lot of TO's (ony 9 on the season so far), but we are in better position and could have had 3 INT's last game conceivably.

I think that one hidden stat is fixing the fumbling. Beckham's muffed punt was huge in the Georgia game. Mett fumbling the ball against Florida killed a drive. It is hard to fix all of this, I know, but if we can, it will bode well going forward.

Just pointing out something that hasn't been talked about. Not a complaint - like I said, I am sure that the coaches see this.

I think Magee has two or three himself.

Magee has one, Auburn near the goal line.

2 of the 6 are muffed punts, OBJ @ Georgia and Dural against Kent State.

The stats say Landry had one against UAB, but I have no idea when that was.

He caught a pass and fumbled it when he got tackled.

Blue had one inside our 10 yard line against TCU when he didn't hold on to the handoff and the other one would be in our last game against Florida when the ball just slipped out of Mett's hand on a screen attempt.

WR's and QB's aren't used to having the ball in their hands

I think this is just a consequence of a much more aggressive offense. We haven't had turnovers for the past few years bc Les has run such a conservative offense.

Just about very game there is a stupid fumble/muff punt

TCU Blue - ball exchange
UAB Landry forced
Kent State Dural - muff punt
Auburn Magee - forced
UGA Beckham - muff punt
UF Mett - slipped out his hand

I think that solving this in the upcoming games against Alabama and Texas A&M are going to be really important. We will not have much margin of error there. Of course, it is hard to solve because Beckham didn't plan to fumble that punt against Georgia and Mett didn't intend to drop the ball against Florida. Mistakes happen. I am not blaming anyone. Just hope we can limit them going forward.

I also hope that our Defense can catch an interception when it hits them in the hands instead of dropping it. We need to maximize those opportunities as well.

If we can fix the little things, this team could win a national championship this year. The little things will make the difference.

"Mett fumbling the ball against Florida killed a drive."

don't fumble's usually kill a drive?

I wish it was a little better, but they are 6-1.
I've seen a whole lot worse.
