The Broncos should have beaten the Ravens last year. There was a blatant pass interference not called when Manning threw a pick 6 in the first half. Decker's arm was clearly yanked down before the ball got there, causing the ball to go through his hands untouched and land in the defender's hands. Then there was the ridiculous 80 yard bomb that tied the game. Those sorts of things never seem to happen to Brady.

He must have missed the last 2 Super Bowls Brady played in!

I hope Manning breaks it off in the Colts.

ETA: what Irsay said was/is true, but he's a dumbass for saying.

My addition: In the last 15 years or so, only one QB was making elite QB money when he won the super bowl - Peyton Manning. All other QB's who won were paid well below market value, allowing the team to spend more on other players.

Wow. Never realized this.

It's called having a DEFENSE. Everyone one of those other teams listed had defenses that stepped up in the playoffs. Brady was a bigger choker than Manning with his numbers dipping EVEN MORE....the difference is when they won there was 11 other guys on the field that could carry the team.

hes telling the truth

Yeah, it's the "truth." But it's not exactly a bold statement. Anyone can look at their playoff record vs regular season and say they underachieved.

A whole lot of people inferring that he meant it was because of Peyton, and maybe that's what he meant. If it is, then he's as big of an idiot as everyone else who thinks Peyton's post season record is all his fault.

Fact is, he had several post seasons with equal or better numbers than his SB winning season.

Eli won his 2nd SuperBowl 2 years after getting his mega contract in '09

Thankfully, they got rid of Manning and now the Super Bowls will start piling up.

Some of those teams wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs without Manning. Shitty thing for him to say

I like Andrew Luck a lot, but I am now in the unfortunate position of hoping the Colts never win a single playoff game again as long as Jim Irsay lives and owns the team.

Saying Peyton manning is the reason the colts didnt win more Super Bowls is pretty ignorant.

I hope the broncos put up 62 on the colts. frick Indy and their caveman QB

It's criticizing a philosophy not Peyton

so Jim's strategy is to have your franchise QB go down to a neck injury, completely tank the season so that you can draft a once in a decade QB prospect, sign him to a much more friendly contract then you could a few years ago, and then use the savings to build around him?

Thanks for the fricking suggestion Jim. More teams should use your genius strategy.

The ironic thing is that Irsay likely made those comments from his office in Lucas Oil Stadium, which never would have been built if Manning never played in Indy.

That's why it's a dick move to make the comments he made. No matter if you think he's right, it's very low class.

The thing was that his comments weren't really a diss at all but he's just so inarticulate, awkward and maybe permanently stoned that they came out in the worst imaginable way.

What happened to all those Gators/Broncos fans from a couple of years back?...
