NSIAP
Summary: good news for LSU, bad news for Ole Miss

LSU coach Les Miles said defensive end Jordan Allen, who had to be helped off the field in the fourth quarter, “tweaked” his ankle but should be ready to play Saturday.

Miles said [FS Ronald] Martin would be available.

Meanwhile, at Ole Miss, if the Rebels are yelling after their 41-38 loss to Texas A&M last Saturday, it probably would be to say “Ouch!”

Freshman defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s No. 1 recruit in 2013, is out with a hamstring injury, according to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal. The other starting defensive end, C.J. Johnson, is also likely out.

Linebacker Serderius Bryant, the Rebels’ leading tackler with 55, was carted off with a concussion against A&M after lying motionless for several minutes. Starting tailback Jeff Scott re-injured a deep thigh bruise against A&M and had only four carries for 10 yards against the Aggies.

If Jordan Allen was on the way to the hospital to have his foot amputated, Miles would say he was "nicked, and would probably be ready to play this weekend."

Any word on Jeff Scott's thigh bruise? He is the biggest weapon LSU has to fear. Our LB's simply won't be able to cover him. i wasn't worried about their defense before the injuries.

I'm worried about our issues with the read option.

Brunetti is apparently out. Wallace doesn't scare me as much.

See what happens?

If you're a DE who picks Ole Miss over LSU, you will will be out for this game. Allen knew whats up.

That's awful, but it's nothing too serious outside of that? If so, so good to hear.

Their 2 DE's out and I believe their top 2 nose tackles are at the very least nicked. I think one may be out. As much as I love the 300 yard passing games, this is a Jeremy Hill day. Lets not get into the type of tempo they like especially if we are at an advantage health wise for the ground game.

yea that looked bad. Manziel took off up the middle and he went low and Manziel's knee/thigh kinda smacked his head and neck sideways and he was out instantly.

Mett looked like he got his ankle rolled near the end of the game and was pretty damn gimpy. So he's fine?

Wasn't his ankle. He landed on his knee pretty hard and bruised it.
