That's what sucks about Fantasy Football
There should be an FA pot. Every FA pick up you make will cost you $1. That pot combined goes to the person who scores the most points in the league.
Throws the "luck" card out in terms of unlucky scheduling. Fantasy Football is all luck anyway.

I'm 2-4 ranked 8th in my 12 team standard scoring. currently 3rd most total points.
Yahoo told me this morning that if the person who beat me yesterday (ranked 2nd in league) played my schedule, they'd be 1-5. If I played theirs I'd be 4-2.
That's fantasy sports in a nutshell.

I'm 2-4 (won 1st week and this week)and am leading the league in points by about 20. Averaging 130 points/game in .25 ppr and standard scoring otherwise.

I started off 3-0 and now 3-3. I'm 2nd of 12 in scoring.

This happens all the time unfortunately. That is the downside of the head to head format.
I read about an interesting format one time that would fix this. If there were 12 teams in the league, the top 6 highest scoring teams each week got a W. The lowest 6 got a loss. This would do away with the luck of scheduling.

Our league considered this, but we ultimately went with the traditional head to head for the shite talking factor.
ETA: Obviously, I'm not doing a whole of shite talking this season

This is our first year doing this format, and it sure is a lot better than head to head. Still a lot of shite talking. But you don't run into that scheduling bullshite.

I usually face this dilemma nearly every season.
There are guys in one of my league who will vote for anything that boosts the luck factor.
I'm a 4-division 12 team league. Two divisions are stacked and two divisions are weak as shite. The 4 divisions were voted upon because your chances of being in a shitty division improve with less teams in it. I half-joked that we should go to 6 2-team divisions where you play your division opponent 3x and everyone else once. Win your division and you make the playoffs. You have a 50/50 shot of the playoffs in that scenario no matter how great or how bad your team is. I bet those frickers try to vote that in next year.

I'm currently 11-1 and had to start Dalton, McCoy, Bolden, Marshall, Olsen, Cameron, Gostkowski and Jets def this week against a Peyton team. Julio and Ryan have been a huge factor in my record.

2-4. I have the most points scored for the season. I have played the team who has the weekly high score 4 times. This week I lost by 5 points to the team with the high score for the week and I had Cecil shorts and Cobb both go out early in the game.

This. I think people forget what we are actually doing sometimes
. We have a small amount of input, but in the end there is a ton of luck involved.
