I know its early...yada yada....but I've watched this team every chance I get and they remain an enigma.
They have looked like total shite in certain stretches of their games and then the next minute like world beaters.
I know their schedule has been weak....but how good are the Gumps????

RANK EM ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 (compared to the 2011 squad that manhandled us in the NC)

they are two time defending national champs with a QB who won both of them...they are damn good and it's going to take everything we have to beat them in their own place

think about 2011. we had a world beater as a team and lost the game...look at the stats, we lost...bama's kicker won the game for us

we won't know until they play someone with a pulse. well actually they looked pretty good to go into college station and getting a win.

bama's like pizza now, even when they aren't great they're still pretty good.

I have a hard time discounting them. Is it me, or do they have the feel of....somehow/someway they're going to find a way to win? Just that type of team. Maybe and hopefully, I'm wrong.

we made plays, they didn't. we got turnovers, they didn't. if michael ford stays in bounds and scores a TD, no one is following that line of BS. i still think if we win 13-6 bama doesn't get a mulligan.

I don't think they are as good as that 2011 team they had, that team's defense was stacked and we were fortunate to beat them, but i'd say they're about equivalent to last years team

good, yes, beateable, yes also if we play a good game

Played two games with opponents worth a shite..

Outscored A&M and their offense looked like shite vs VT..

Good grief. The game was in their house, their field goal attempts were loooonnnggg and last I heard, kickers and kicking count too. We took over late in the game. If Ford hadn't stepped out of bounds in overtime we win by 7. Stats aren't points.

well they have won two of the last three nc's, have been the premier program for a few years now and have not lost since last season. They have looked sloppy at times but basically have had one close game and even that was not that close. Thier D may be a bit weaker comapared to 2011 when they held us to under 100 yards in the NC game and thier Offense may be inconsistent, but on 1-10 from 2011 I say they are an 8.5. Having said this we can beat them if we play very well but it will not be easy or expected.

Oh, bullshite! We beat their asses! Just like they beat us last year. Last year we "won" the statistics. That doesn't mean squat. In 2011, at Tuscaloosa, we ground them down and made them quit. If that game had gone on another quarter we'd have beaten them by 20.

They are more dynamic on offense with guys like cooper, drake, yeldon etc but I don't believe they are as strong defensively as they have been the past few years

I think this is close. Their o-line is weaker this season too.

You have a funny way of trying to determine who wins a football game.

They are good. No getting around it.

But I like our chances.

with the 2011 being a 10...i give this team a 6 maybe 5....why...well there were two games where there offense didnt score a TD until the second half....Defense may look good on paper...but they can be moved on...Ole miss is a perfect example...They didnt score but they had it what 1 and goal 3x and didnt score because they werent going for field goals but for TDs...i think if our offense plays like htey have been all year and our defense shows up like they did against UF we will be jus fine

You have to play them with no fear. If we execute out game plan and have the mindset that we can't lose. We will shock those bastards and win by 2 touchdowns

I agree with most things said.....but have watched McCarron closely and he doesn't look as good as he did last year....maybe the players around him...IDK..anyways...like our chances a lot better this year than any in recent years!!

Until they play a good team other than A&M it is hard to tell. I think the Tigers can beat them if we get the defense to play their a game! With bama's pussy schedule they should be healthy when they play us.
