I've never understood why Zelda isn't a launch title.

It has been for decades. They went full retard on the Wii-U. I think they still thought Mario was carrying the franchise. I think it's pretty obvious that isn't the case now.

It typically is and my perspective on the WiiU is that they could have waited until now to launch it when they had a good lineup of games. Unfortunately they would be competing with the PS4 and Xbone. They took a risk and launched it a year early and while it didn't work out splendidly, they do have a small install base of a few million for when the competition launches.

I believe that this Christmas is when they will really start to market hard as games begin to come out.

while wind waker was a really good game I am surprised that this is really having any impact on wii u sales. Not sure how much better looking you can make a cell shaded game. Wonders never cease.

We'll know more soon. That article was referencing UK sales which are released weekly. We only get NPD (for NA) once a month. Hope to see Wii U pick up. Consoles had have a very rough year in the US so far.

Mario / Zelda / Pokemon

Only reason we buy Nintendo. You purchased the Wind Waker edition right Gardoki?

I like a good Metroid title when they exist. Super Metroid, Fusion, and the Prime Trilogy are some of the best games made imo.

Oh, also Fire Emblem. shite is amazeballs.

Exactly my thoughts. I saw my brother playing it, he as really excited saying how much better it looked. He was playing it on a 63'' LCD TV and I was struggling to see how it looked any different. It's all fluff, IMO. If it had been an HD remake of OoT, MM, or TP, I would have sold my left leg to get it.

I fricking love Star Fox too. They just need to make a new game. Being a closet furry for Krystal is a guilty pleasure of mine. Only because of the voice, though. Female british/australian accents =

There's a huge group of people that are waiting to throw money at a Star Fox game if they'd just put a little time into developing the story. There's massive potential in that series, but Nintendo doesn't seem to care about it much since Rare went splat.

What does Rare have to do with Starfox?

Rare made Star Fox: Adventures. They're the ones that attempted to give Star Fox a story. Even if it wasn't initially intended to be a Star Fox game, it worked. It gave the Star Fox fanbase a taste of what Star Fox could be with character development. Last I heard Nintendo was offering to give a studio the rights to Star Fox to make another game. Command sucked so bad Nintendo made it not cannon, so it could start from Assault or do a reboot. Either one would sell.

Riiiiight...I forget that game exists sometimes...

Starfox died with Starfox 64 imo.

eta: And I wouldn't say that they quit on the series after Rare left because they did make Assault and Command which weren't terrible.

You either loved it, or you hated it. I loved it. Krystal was a needed addition since Slippy sucks as a character. Assault was pretty good, too. The first level is by far the best part. It's as close as they've come to remaking 64. Could have done without the ground levels, though. Either that or I wish they would have taken to time to make them better than they were. Just seems like no one is willing to put the time in to make another great Star Fox game. All the pieces are there. Just gotta make it.

Command sucked so bad Nintendo forced the developers to say the story wasn't cannon. The game itself wasn't bad, but the story was absolutely awful. The game had like 14 endings, and ALL of them sucked.
