Forbes: Healthcare.gov designed to fail to hide premiums

LINK

quote:

HHS bureaucrats knew this would make the website run more slowly. But they were more afraid that letting people see the underlying cost of Obamacare’s insurance plans would scare people away.

quote:

The answer is that Obamacare wasn’t designed to help healthy people with average incomes get health insurance. It was designed to force those people to pay more for coverage, in order to subsidize insurance for people with incomes near the poverty line, and those with chronic or costly medical conditions.

But the laws’ supporters and enforcers don’t want you to know that, because it would violate the President’s incessantly repeated promise that nothing would change for the people that Obamacare doesn’t directly help. If you shop for Obamacare-based coverage without knowing if you qualify for subsidies, you might be discouraged by the law’s steep costs.

If anyone didn't see this as the purpose they were blind.

Those that have always paid will pay more.

Those that never pain will never pay.

Spread the wealth around is always a great idea when it isn't your wealth!

The whole design was to redistribute wealth, and gain power over the individual. How many months will you have to work, now, to pay for other people's lifestyle, and choices?

He doesn't care because in the POTUS mind the individual really didn't "build" his or her wealth or company it was the state that allowed you to do this so it is the states right to take it from you.

In there sick mind the gov is god and the individual is trash.

He doesn't even hide who he is

if the govt had designed healthcare.gov to fail, it would have worked better than it actually does now. no way the govt could be THAT efficient.

This is simply so f'n sad. It just amazes me that they get away with this.

I talked to a friend of mine tonight. He's a sales manager for a major pharmaceutical company. He said that his company is about to eliminate all benefits including health insurance and retirement. Retirement is supposedly being eliminated to "help" employees pay for their own insurance.

Some idiot in the comment section is assuming that older geezers are getting lowered premiums at the expense of the young. While young people are getting shafted, there is no evidence whatsoever that Obamacare is lowering premiums for the older people, unless they are eligible for subsides through the exchanges.

Come on man, Steve Forbes is a REPUBLICAN.

The fact his old man banged Elizabeth Taylor is irrelevant.

Of course.

The only reason these liberal idiots wanted to take over health care is so they can produce a larger tax pool because they ( government ) are running out of money.

Now , after the government runs all the health insurance companies out of business in 5 years the government will get all the “ premiums ” paid to them , but will spend it like they have done with all the S.S. money.

The government , squeezed for money will then set up death panels to save money.
