Fla. couldn't get their offense going against LSU's stifling D. Fla's vanilla offense didn't stand a chance. Looks like LSU found some new star players who can really play defense. The joke is on anyone who thought LSU wouldn't.

It's a shame it took until the 2nd half in week 6 for the defense to find out the season started.

Guys who have no experience on day 1 are typically better in week 6

Its a shame LSU didn't beat Ga because this team has gotten a lot better and is likely going to win out. Wouldn't shock me to see a very well balanced LSU hammer Ala and the Aggies. That would be too cool.

It took a game that had them utterly embarrassed to change. Once that happened, Miles/Chavis started the youth movement. This youth movement needs about 3 games and will get four and a bye week to prepare for the last stretch. We should be completely balanced by the time we step on the field at Bryant-Denny

Why?

We still have to beat Bama and A&M

If we don't lose to Georgia maybe all these changes on D wouldn't have been made and we would have just skated by until Bama. I think it was for the best.

not a shame at all. sometimes you learn more from losing than winning. AND, losing to uga at athens early in the season should not detract from our goals one bit; we win out we go to atlanta and if we win there it's NC game here we come.

Yea that was a tough pill to swallow, but I sure like the way the Tigers are trending better than the dogs. They acted like beating LSU was like winning the national championship for GOD sakes.Look for an improving Tiger defense the remainder of the season.

I think you're the first person to ever look closely enough to notice it.

sorry to be the negatard, but y'all do realize UF's offense was pretty predictable and with a backup QB? I think I'll wait to see how they do at Ole Miss

I agree with this. In 2003 the loss to Florida was the turning point of the season; we just got better and better in every subsequent game. That's what's happening this year, and young as they are, this may be turning into one of LSU's and Mile's greatest teams.

Disagree. The high scoring would have helped to accelerate changes in the secondary almost as much as a loss. Hurt that it happened, but taking out Ole Piss, the Gumps and Aggies would certainly relieve any of that.

Never happy with a loss but shame isn't the proper word I should have used. Using a Les Miles narrative, it was regrettable.

This is a very accurate statement.

As for our defense, while I'd love to think we have turned the corner, I think we are a lot more likely to give up 30+ against a decent offense than to hold them under 20.

This defense has a long way to go, IMO.

It isn't the youth movement so much as finally bringing 6 man pressure. Pressure against UGA would've equaled a W.

This d hasnt given up a td in 6 quarters. Id say they are improving. Just friday night no one thought wed stop UF. Well i did, but still figured it would take more than 17 pts to win.
