Ok, either Florida State or Clemson will lose this next weekend. Oregon still has to play Stanford and UCLA, right? The winner of the Florida State/Clemson game still have an SEC team on their schedule (Fla State/Florida and Clemson/USCe). This is not out of reach. We could end up number 2 behind Ohio State (best scenario if you ask me). We would kick their butts in the National Championship game. This is NOT over!!!

Oregon has played a very weak schedule. Even if they remained undefeated the computer will drop them at least three spots based on schedule strength.

It depends on the number of undefeated teams remaining.

You are correct. However if Oregon and Florida State are still undefeated it is unlikely that any one loss team will jump them.

We jumped Louisville too. That said who gives a shite? This poll is meaningless.

One loss SEC team would jump undefeated Louiville for NC even if there was like an undefeated Oregon or Ohio State already locked in for NC.

I will not say it's not possible, yet LSU would have to be very impressive in the remaining games including the SECCG and the other teams would need to have some close calls.

Incidentally if Florida State wins out I would expect them to be ranked #1 (of course assuming Alabama loses). They still play Clemson, Miami, and Florida.

In addition, UGA's loss Saturday and likely continued struggles due to injury will not help LSU's strength of schedule.
