Appreciate the love everyone. We're all real excited to get there.
We'll make note of all the suggestions and then make some decisions once we get to town.
My email is huskuuz1@gmail.com. Appreciate the invites and really just look forward to a great weekend.

went to Omaha in 2009. Enjoyed every minute(except for the rain delay game 2). We stayed with my brother in law on Lincoln. We loved it. Had a man working in a grocery store(hi-lo)asking about the name of the defensive team in 1958.Spent a week after the series and was treated like a rock star everywhere we went. If you get the chance come by the 2nd RV at Nicholson and south stadium drive. Wear your team stuff

If you're looking to party with attractive young coeds then I point you to Bogie's on East Boyd. There will be a cover but that will go toward a live band and alive females.
You can start on Third Street but head over to Bogie's at around midnight.

Wear anything that says OMAHA on it.
TD could have a "Visitors Board" that has a compilation of the best advice threads.

We love you guys. Come to the corner of Dalrymple and Highland by the law school. All the food and booze you can imagine. Wear your Huskers gear! If you need more information, email me. Would be happy to point you in the right direction or tell you anything that you need to know.

Misread the heading, thought it said Obama coming to Baton Rouge. Major WTF moment followed by thoughts of massive quantity of piss filled balloons. Calmed down and reread the heading.

Hey all.
We've made it. We were at Chimes this afternoon, walked around campus some, and bought ourselves a little LSU gear.
We're staying at the Hampton Inn downtown and plan on getting to the stadium bright and early tomorrow. Looking forward to drinking, eating, yelling and drinking some more.
Thanks to all of you that offered up tailgate spots. We'll definitely try to get by at least a few. We'll stick out like sore thumbs (Husker shirts/LSU hats) so just yell at us if you see us.
Again, thanks for all the tips. It's gunna be a great weekend.

You will have an awesome time. You guys will stick out with the husker shirts for sure but u should be ok as long as you not wearing a gators shirt. Report back with your thoughts after the weekend is over.
Oh and watch out for flying "water" balloons

I'm curious as to what they thought about their game day experience. I would dare say he was disappointed judging by what I saw on tv and have read about the lame atmosphere on Saturday.

Hope you guys had a great experience. Every time I have been to Omaha for CWS we were treated like family.
Please update

Afternoon everyone.
Well, we made it safely back from Baton Rouge on Sunday and took a day to recover. We tried to drink you guys out of alcohol, but that's no small feat :)
One of your forum bretheren hosted us at his tailgate and we had an absolutely fantastic time. Thanks to all the others who offered as well. We started drinkin and eatin and before we knew it, it was game time. We ate all kinds of food - loved the boudin balls - and drank plenty. When we walked away to go into the game, we couldn't have been happier. Just a tremendous time and thanks Kelly for hosting us!
We were on the east side for the game, about 40 rows up on the 40 yard line. Awesome seats, but if you couldn't tell, it was hotter than hell. Probably one of the hottest games I've been too, primarily because there wasn't much breeze and it seemed like the sun was moving at a snails pace to get down. We managed though, drank plenty of water, and hit the concourses from time to time.
The heat aside, we really enjoyed the game. Loved Callin Baton Rouge and the band's pregame. I can't get the "Geaux Tigers" song out of my head that y'all play 1k times a game :) We were surrounded by some great fans as well. Game atmosphere was good. I think the heat took it's toll as there were some big blocks of empty seats on the northern half of the stadium too. I'm sure a night game is better yet.
Overall, we all loved it. Would do it again in a heartbeat just for the gator, boudin balls and pretty women. Your fans were kind and welcoming and it made for a great weekend. That being said, I'll always bleed Husker red
