In many ways, 2003 was the year that changed everything with LSU football. While remembering the championship team, it's interesting to look back and think about how many things have changed in a short period of time. Here's a few...

Tiger Stadium
-New East Upper deck, suites and club level seating. New Endzone upper deck being constructed.
-Band now seated in the end zone
-The rise and fall of "Neck". The fall of "Tiger Rag" and "O-we-O".
-The rarity of the day game giving way to frequency day games.
-The end of the myth that Tiger Stadium can't be loud in the day or the Tigers don't win during a day game.
-Tearing down the goal posts being a possibility if we beat a ranked opponent vs. The possibility of the stadium emptying out if we are beating a ranked opponent at halftime.
-No TAF fees vs. TAF fees.

Program

-New football operations center.
-The pleasant surprise of a top 15 recruiting class vs. the expectancy of a top 5 recruiting class.
-The jubliation of beating a ranked opponent vs. the frustration of not dominating a ranked opponent.

Game Day
-Free parking on campus vs. pay to park on campus
-An occasional tailgating trailer seen on campus vs a gazillion trailers on campus
-Indian mounds access vs no access

Others?

Tiger Droppings being an obscure place on the web to Tiger Droppings being the featured in NYT articles.

Great thread.

I think you pretty much nailed all of the things that I can think about.

Maybe, the thrill of only losing 2-3 games in a season vs. how terrible we are for losing 2-3 games.

Once you win an NC then anything less is difficult for the Fans! I remember when we got excited just to go to a Bowl Game!!

And a damn shame, too. What's the deal?

Also I think the endzone paint has changed.

Having a coach we didn't like but loved for winning championships to having a coach we liked but hated for losing championships

Think it may have had something to do with that tailgate crew that starting tailgating between the mounds? Just a guess though. I always thought that was pretty shitty of them to do that. Their name was something catchy....like between the cleavage or something like that

Burger stands outside, boiled burgers inside.
Fresh popcorn, yellow trash bags of week old popcorn

I swear to God and all that's Holy, if one of these MF'ers around me leaves a close game in the third quarter Saturday, I'm gonna geaux full blown Jeremy Hill on his arse and cold cock the worthless slime from the rear!

This was opened at the beginning of the 2000 season. You could change it to the SEZ addition.
