Just how bad of a start for him is this, hindsight and all?

I am holding off judgement since the coach was fired 5 games into the season. Hopefully the team gets it together. But from watching their games, that team is terrible. Jozy looks like he did when he wasn't scoring for the US, getting no quality service and always having his back to the goal 35 yards out.

From the games I've watched, he's looked pretty good. He gets no service, but his hold up play has been excellent. A lot of the Sunderland game plan has been to play long balls to him and he's done well.

He looks great off the ball. He took a sweet long shot one game. We all knew he would not get quality service going to this team. An EPL goal will of course be a MASSIVE confidence builder. Hopefully Sunderland buys someone to give him service when the transfer window opens.

Josmers Sunderland goal

Kind of what I assumed, and what most people were concerned about when news of the signing broke, if I remember correctly. I hope he can keep his head up and not get discouraged playing for what is right now a truly shite team.

That was retarded. There was one chance he had where Johnson had dribbled to the byline and Jozy was wide arse open in front if goal but Johnson shot instead.

He scored a few weeks ago, but the ref blew the whistle for a PK before the shot.

FIFY. The foul was called on him when he was basically shoulder to shoulder with the deffender.

Not to mention the whistle made Kos quit running.. he definitely would have stopped the ball from slowly dribbling in the net.

No way to know for sure. He may have heard the whistle and took something off the shot as well. The idea here is that he straight up bossed Sagna, who is one of the stronger RBs in England, and created a good scoring chance.

He's played decently well. His service just sucks. I hope Sunderland can find a way to get him chances.
