Gonna enjoy 2 weeks of hanging out at the ranch with the wife & kids, doing a little shooting, mountain hiking, camping, fishing, seeing the sights.

No phone, no people, no cel phone signal...way the frick out there!

There is a wireless internet connection at the County Library (dimensions of the library is only 25'x40') so I may post some picture from there.

Packed and ready to drive!

Which outfitter did you do through? My brother and I are trying to put something together for next year. And did you have any luck?

no outfitter. My good friend is a resident and we were hunting on a VERY remote ranch with land owner tags...

Had a good bull 45 yards away but it caught our wind and was in full stride..

Saw quite a few more bulls but they were too far off and and in really rough terrain and for those who have hunted elk you know you must think about the difficulties your group will face removing the bull before you pull the trigger..

didn't really matter that we didn't get one though, I didn't pay out of state prices and being that far removed from the 21st century and with that scenery it was awesome..

A friend of mine lives two hours from there, west of Las Vegas, NM. I love that place. There are elk and deer in his yard sometimes. If I had a tag I would have been there about now.

Enjoy the trip.
