A relative of mine has a very nice JD 3 liter whiskey cradle with the unopened bottle of JD that he is interested in getting rid of. He is particularly interested in possibly trading for a used flat screen(somewhere around a 38"-46") to set up at our hunting camp in Mississippi. He isn't concerned too much with the condition of said flat screen as long as it works and is reliable.

I know this is a very specific post and a particular "looking for" request, but perhaps someone would be interested in this collector's item who also possibly has a flat screen they are interested in trading over.

The retail online for this is somewhere around the $225-$300 range FYI.

Hopefully this topic is suitable for the F&D Board, if not it can be moved. Thanks!

Um. What? First of all, why would something that cheap looking retail for $225-$300? What exactly makes this a collector's item?

Second, why would anyone EVER pay that much for something that has Jack Daniels/is Jack Daniels brand? The only people I know that drink Jack Daniels are rednecks and 16-year-olds that don't know better.

What the hell is the purpose of the thing? Why is it worth $225-$300? Is it a collectors item?

I hope it's not a collector's item. I have one just like it but it's empty.

That would probably decrease it's value.

They retail that much on Australian/NZ websites. Looks to be about $160 from sites based in the US.

ETA: And they appear to sell for $80-$90 at duty-free stores.
