Been saying it for years: The Cowboys have many problems as a team. Romo is not the cause of most of them.

QB's will always get too much blame and too much credit! There is no truly objective way to analyze this. Just win and Romo needs to get to a super bowl. Anecdotally, it appears he throws too many terrible picks at the worst times, but he is athletic, extends plays, is generally accurate, hung 48 pts with 500+ passing and kept Dallas in the game!

As the saying goes, there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Tony Romo is the most clutch QB in Cowboys history. More comeback wins than Roger Staubach.

I saw Roger Staubach win a PLAYOFF game ON THE ROAD down 28-13 to the 49ers in the 4th quarter.

I saw Roger Staubach win a playoff game in January on the road in frozen Metropolitan Stadium against the 12-2 Vikings in their prime and lead a wild card team to the Super Bowl.

I saw Roger Staubach overcome a 13 point deficit in the last 5 minutes of the game on THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON to beat the Redskins 35-34 and make the playoffs by a game over those Redskins.

Tell me ONE TONY ROMO COMEBACK WIN that is even on that level.

I'll hang up and listen.

Can we get a percentage of games loss when interceptions are thrown in the fourth quarter. I bet it shows different results

Or interceptions thrown in games with post-season berths on the line.

Because those end-of-the-season, postseason-on-the-line performances vs. Washington and the Giants were gold.

You'd think a QB more clutch than Roger Staubach would pull them out.

This whole "most 4th quarter comebacks = most clutch EVER" methodology is so flawed.

By this logic, Geno Smith's 4th quarter penalty-aided miracle game winning FG home game vs the winless Buccaneers in September is EXACTLY THE SAME as what Joe Flacco did in Denver in January. Or what Colin Kaepernick did in the Georgia Dome.

And how have all of Romo's 4th quarter passing statistics translated into victories? Could it be that Romo is frequently passing against prevent defenses due, at least in part, to his performance in earlier stages of the games?

When people judge a painting, they look at the finished work. They don't focus on the quality of the brushstrokes. Romo's finished works are average to above average at best, no matter how pleasing his final brushstrokes might be.

Romo fricking sucks. That thread during the game the other day was one of the best threads in a while. Dumbass couldn't help it, just had to throw it away.

And if you are comparing romo to Brees get the frick.

Most games with a touchdown, nfl record nine straight 300 yard games, A RING, highest completion percentage in a season, most yards ever in a season, top ten completion seasons he is four out of ten including most ever at number one, Super Bowl MVP, fastest ever to 40,000 yards, and his last name doesn't rhyme with homo.

You are proving the OP's point. No sensible person could honestly say this, especially after the game on Sunday.

Admit it, you'd blow Brees right now given the chance.

Damn right I would. He has given something to his city and fans. Can't say the same for Romo.

Sorry it breaks your heart so bad.

He's a football player. That's it.

I guess the fans of Dallas don't need to live vicariously through an athlete. You sound like you have a shitty life.

Romo is having a better season than Brees. Accept it.

Good. He probably isn't as clutch either based on your methodology, but I'll take his 4th quarter comeback in the Super Bowl.

I believe he's more than that to the City of New Orleans.

There is no methodology for "clutch" but there are stats. Romo has better 4th quarter stats than Brees.

Then I pity the city of New Orleans. He doesn't play to win because he cares about the citizens, he's being paid millions of dollars to play a game.

The whole live vicariously thing has been said a million times. If people didn't, the nfl wouldn't be that big. Duh

So he can't love the city where he is raising a family and make millions of dollars?

Just so we're clear, you're ok with idolizing someone who plays a game?

This is the problem with Saints fans: in a thread that clearly demonstrates that Tony Romo is not nearly as bad as people make him out to be, people such as yourself have to come in crying that he isn't as good as Brees. It's pathetic.

It was a thread with a guy throwing stats around and remarking that he has less interceptions than Brees. He has less rings and records as well. Sounds like a debate to me you miserable ole frick. With your attitude it would be "who was the best qb ever? Oh well they are all good !! Free unicorns for everyone"

Go take your low t shot and relax.
