Posted by Message Sader1990 The Myth of Tony Romo Sorry those 4th quarter stats can be misleading. A lot of those yards, Tds, completions, ints, etc. can be done in garbage time.

You don't watch many Cowboys games. Very rarely is there garbage time, win or lose. Most games are very close.

I'm a 49ers fan. Naturally I hate the Cowboys. But I want them to be competitive again because those were some awesome games in the 90s. Romo just can't make it happen.

yeah Clearly Romo has been terrible vs your 9ers.

So.... about that OT win last time Dallas played SF?

Not bad for a guy with broke ribs and a punctured lung huh?

Wasn't clutch though was it?

People don't dislike Romo because he's a Cowboy. People dislike Romo because he thinks he's cool like Tom Brady or Derek Jeter - when really he's a dork. The joke is kind of on him.

Give it up, Romo is horrible in the clutch. I've seen enough games to prove it. Is he a good QB, sure, great QB, nope.

Watch out. You're going to be bombarded with 4th quarter stats saying he's on the level than, nay, greater than, the likes of Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

Good for Romo. Hope he enjoyed his 1 playoff win. No one cares.

He's missing a complete team around him. Somebody look up kapernecks stats from last week. He played horrible. Yet SF beat Houston 37-3 I think

I thought Cowboys had the most talent in the NFL like 4 straight years? Or so said Cowboys fans.

All excuses. If the Cowboys don't get in the playoffs and do damage, then no one cares and no one down the road will look back at Romo's years and care. Especially if you consider all the playoff success his predecessors had. He's the anti-Aikman and Staubach in that category, and for that he won't be given benefit of the doubt.

I always find it hilarious that guys like Elway struggled for years, guys like Dilfer and Brad Johnson won one,..... But y'all still believe Romo is absolutely incapable. IMO, I'm not sure anyone's ever done more with less. Drew Brees was in a very similar situation last year as Romo has been in for years. No defense, inept coaching, not much protection or running game etc. So since Brees went 7-9 and damn near led the league in picks, it's because his team was weak. When Dallas does similar shite, it's all Romos fault

Okay, so by this statement I'm assuming you think Romo is better than Drew Brees. That's fine. Cowboys fans are known to be delusional.

I love threads like this. It separates the men from the boys on here.

Romo is a very good and maybe even great QB who I would kill for in order to have him under center in Minnesota. He is severely underrated. Romo and Ryan are currently battling for the best "non-elite" QB as the fifth and sixth best in the league.

MJC raped this thread.

And equally no one will care about either if they don't produce team accolades. Especially Romo since his team has done very little more than simply qualify for the playoffs and lose instantly with a participation pat on the back.

really? I would love to know who all of these Cowboys fans are?

ETA: we were picked by virtually everyone to come in dead last in our division this year..... Which turns out to be the worst division in football. So yeah.
