With all the talk abou tthe lack of depth at DT, I wonder what the deal is with Mickey Johnson. Is he just not good enough to see more PT?

Anybody know?

Squatting over 700lbs doesn't make you a good DT.

Chris Davenport might have been able to give a few snaps as a space eater, he's contributing at Tulane.

I always thought he would be a good one. Pretty surprised we're not seeing more of him. His highlight reel coming out of HS was pretty sick. Seemed like he wasn't even facing an OL most of the time. Guess it's not translating as well to CFB.

Not to be a dick here BUT, his own position coach at st. pauls didnt think he would translate to SEC, fwiw.

Same analogy as just because a lineman is big does not mean he is strong enough or has any technique or quickness.

Guys

These kids aren't fully developed yet.

Not Physically
Not Mentally
Not even Technique wise
For the college game. A lot of kids don't see the field till their senior year.

He's not ready and needs to improve big time.
