I agree, Hill, Hilliard, Landry, Beckham, and Collins are likely gone. Don't feel Turner is gone. Freak and Ego should seriously consider coming back(especially Freak)unless there is a dramatic change in play over these next games. Freak can not play great and still be at least a second round pick though. Rasco shouldn't be even thinking about leaving at this point. He has no body of work to show, and could benefit with this year of experience going into next year.

Neither Freak or Ego is ready, in fact, I don't think anyone on the D is anywhere near being ready, and if drafted, would likely be cut...

are landry and beckham more attractive to the NFL than these guys?

6 WRs went in the first two rounds last year and all of them are playing pretty decent. Abunch of teams still need WRs so IMO either one can sneak into the top 5.

I'd say Landry is the 4th or 5th WR taken and Beckham is the 6th or 7th.

so, what does this have to do if your not drafted at all?

Hilliard, freak, ego, allen, rasco, turner and j collins all have a better shot of not being drafted than being drafted at this point.

IT MAKES NO SENSE TO SIT AT HOME TRAINING, when you can be at LSU SHOWCASING.

Hilliard, Freak, and Ego will be drafted.

I said it all depends on the draft grade. These are confident young football players, and the money just doesn't shift much day to day in the draft anymore. No one is leaving if they legitimately think they will be an UDFA, but even the 7th seems to be enough to pull guys out now.

Highly debatable. Most of these guys think they have what it takes to make a roster, and getting in the new system earlier makes more sense to them. I'm not saying they're wrong or right, but a lot more players are leaving early now and I have to assume this is why.

No one on defense needs to leave they could all use as much development as possible. I couldn't see anyone from the defense getting drafted before the 5th round

There's not anybody better than a 4th rounder in that whole bunch. They'd be stupid to leave.

And most of them have been proven wrong, if you look at past history, very few have sustained success at the next level by going early, and 2 other bad things happen when you do that, you don't get your degree, and you don't get any decent money from the NFL. A better long term strategy is to stay, develop, get better statistics, and demand a higher draft status to get more guaranteed money. Then if you don't make it, you still at least have a nest egg and your degree to fall back on.

I didn't say it was the smartest decision, I'm just trying to explain why I think it's happening more and more.

I know it's BR but this is a good article on the topic. LINK
