1600 sq foot house. Irish channel. What is an estimate for homeowners insurance? purchase price will be roughly $230,000 and it is a single family home. Thanks in advance.

Was driving through the Channel the other day. Seems like a house on every block or every other block is being renovated.

That said, insurance in NOLA is ridiculous.

not sure what the flood insurance rates are but, without it, you will pay about 13-15 per year.

In the Irish Channel, you should be paying minimum on flood, which is like $350. Homeowners will be tricky, though. You just gotta start calling agents and see what they can get you.

Lot of factors to consider. Mainly age of home and your credit. $2k - $6k is the best guesstimate I can give.
