Sorry to bring this up, but I found this statement interesting. When talking about what the Falcons need to do against the Jets, he said "you have to get to the head, and the head is the QB".

So in the audio from Greg Williams, was him referring to hitting the "Head" a literal or metaphorical head meaning the QB?

Just a thought even though I'm much more worried about our 5-0 team!

Metaphorical as in "Head of the Snake".

One day Ray's going to say the word slash, cut, etc...

Kill the head and the body will die

It's metaphorical. It's not like he was literally asking the team go out there and kill someone. Get shots on the quarterback, and the entire offense will crumble.

What? Ray Lewis has actually had some of the better insight from those pre-game shows

Couldn't disagree more. He is by far one of the best former player analysts and it's only his first year. He provides calm, insightful responses to every topic presented.

Until you give him some alcohol and a decent-sized knife.

Ravens admitted to bounties, they just didn't get investigated for it

quote:

"Definitely. The bounty was out on him (Mendenhall) and the bounty was out on (Ward). -- we just didn't get him between the whistles."

Yep Yep and one day a bloody switchblade will fall on the ESPN anchor desk from out of Ray's pinstripe suit pocket. Oh wait, that's right... I'm sorry I got that wrong, Ray Lewis was only ever charged with "Obstruction of Justice." All that happened in Atlanta also as I recall...
