i finally finished the series yesterday(watched the last 6 episodes of season 5), and was blown away.
for me, season 5 was significantly better than any of the previous 4. i also think season 5 was different as well, as they seemed to remove alot of the comedic tones of the show. the show was better as they moved away from walt establishing himself as the master meth cook/kingpin, to focus on his downfall and the effects on his family and others. the only thing i didnt like about season 5 was i felt the train robbery was a bit preposterous.
overall great series, and sad to see it go. i was actually feeling a bit bummed out as i was midway thru the last episode, knowing it was about to end.

5 was great and has some of the show's best episodes and moments...but 4 is my fave. Can't beat Gus

Probably 4. 5 is a close second though.

I've only watched up to the 2nd to last episode of season 2, but it's definitely season 2 at this point. Walt is starting to embrace the idea of what he is capable of after successfully scaring off the would-be cooks outside of the hardware store.
I'm anxiously waiting to see if he completes this huge deal for the fast food store owner or goes to the hospital for Skyler. I feel like this could be a trajectory altering decision at the beginning of my next episode.
and oh yea. frick Jesse for putting this huge deal in jeopardy because he is a raging worthless addict. I would hope him and his little whore both OD in the next episode or two, but I don't see them killing off Jesse, he's too big of a character, and his whore is getting engrained as well.

for a long time, i thought the show should have ended at season four. it's a perfect season.
season five is great, though.

What the frick?
I count 3 and 4 as one mini arc centered around Gus. So 3/4

1 is very underrated. I love Tuco and the whole Crazy 8 situation.
2 is pretty solid too.
