This is the most surprising thing this year. He took bad angels all game and was getting pushed all around all night. I was thinking he would just step into Minters role and dominate. He looks slower than last year. What happened.

He doesn't have a NFL caliber LB playing next to him anymore

While this is true, Barrow has taken a big step back this year on his own. He made plays last year, this year, they are few and far between.

he really didn't do much last year outside of the South Carolina game. Very overrated on here because of his big muscles and hair.

I can't understand how we have all this talent and not a single person wants to step up on defense.

I rewatched the first qtr this morning and the defense looked extremely confused. People are covering for other people who have no clue where to be.

Taking bad angels will never work. I tried dating a few girls like that and it didn't work out.

I think he is trying too hard, and yes the angles have been bad. He will get better, have faith in these young men.

it's much easier to make plays when the others around you are playing at a high level. He also had Mingo and Edwards in front of him, along with Minter in the middle

Everyone knew we lost a lot but we recruited what I thought was studs on the Dline and none of them are playing worth shite. They are slow and bringing no pressure. I just can't believe thats all inexperience.

Well, the saying was "we just reload" which has proven to not pan out.

My thoughts before the season were that the new guys would take a few lumps vs TCU and grow up by the Auburn game. That hasn't happened and I don't know if its just talent or they are as confused as they look back there.

He made a lot of hustle plays last year, he was cleaning up tackles where 1st contact had already been made. His stats from last season are misleading.

the problem is "reloading" is typically replacing 3-4 starters with guys who have some playing time. You always want about 60% of your starters returning.

I do not think this is the case. The defense as a whole has appeared lost most of the year. Once the scheme and communication issues are sorted out individual players will gain confidence and be able to put together a more solid effort.

This reminds me a couple years ago during the preseason when they said this is the best OL ive ever coached. They said this is hands down the best LB group ever.
