It only takes 64 crests, 16 of each level 1.
16 level 1 crests will produce 4 level 2 crests.
4 level 2 crests make a level 3.
So, 16 x 4 = 64
I know this for a fact cause I just did it

And then you have to do that for each crest number.
4 level 1 > 1 level 2
4 level 2 > 1 level 3
So 16 crests to make 1 3, then 1 thru 4 inscription spots.

The rewards are better from 2 unless you need shards for something besides slimes. I guess that is why they are changing them in the next update.

I just started working on level 3's last week. Druid has 2 and I just made one for my Paly. 1,200 red gems ain't no joke. Can't imagine having the patience needed to go to level 4's.

Yep so it's 64 total for a set of level 3 crests, and 256 for a set of level 4.

Does iOS TD do torch battles how many badges do y'all get a week for that?
Me and Clemson have our own clan and we can run boss 2 and Mesa 2 between the two of us and 2 smurfs. Trying to figure out if I it's better to join td and miss out on some of the boss battles?
He's got a 160pd, I've got a 134 and a 114

I don't think we have been participating, but I went into it the other day and collected some rewards. We should start actually trying though to get some free shards.

On Android, we merged with another guild and we typically get 100% on torch battles, 1400+ shards per week.

For IOS:
We should organize torch battles for Wed and Saturdays for those that are doing boss to raid and defend for the last 15/20 min before boss. I usually just forget. I will post a message.
We do lvl 3 boss every day and do as many mesas as people have chances. Usually mesa 2. I think we are up to 6 PD in IOS TD. We spend a day or two doing mesa 3 and all concluding it was not worth it. If the change they are making affects that then we can consider it then.

we should split up Mesa 2 so the guys without PD don't get screwed out of the loot

I don't think we have ever had 4 PD in one battle. Three is really better than 2 b/c 2/3 of the time one PD blows up from bombs and that's annoying. Mine is inscribed up to 80 and has 3 I don't mind sitting back and doing mesa 1 with the others either. I wish the chat function worked better in the game for organizing this stuff.
Tonight I am at a rehearsal dinner and tomorrow at a wedding. I will try and get on, but that may be hard and hazardous to my health with the wife.

I am in the middle of my month. Looking forward to the end of the month

Should be the same strat as Mesa 2 just with harder heroes and a better boss. So you need higher level heroes.
