Has anyone else notice a decline in fruit quality?
For the last few years I've noticed that it is very difficult to buy decent fresh fruit. When You buy it, it's all unripe then over night it goes from unripe to nearly rotten. I'm guessing its picked green for better shipping/storage characteristics and kept close to freezing.

I don't buy my fruit or veggies at Walmart or winco, so no.

well in that case yes I have noticed that everything is under ripe and flavorless. RIP maw maw's garden.

I don't even eat cucumbers or tomatoes anymore because they do not compare to what I grew up with coming out of the garden.

Yes, aside from apples and bananas it is a crap shoot.

Peaches and nectarines you can smell if they are fresh, if they have no smell, they are card board.

Citrus is just a joke most the time, I fill up on local citrus when in season to get my fill.

Melons and cantaloupe are hit and miss, but I will say lately they have been better than usual.

Kiwi, mango, and pineapple are pretty consistent.

Berries have been terrible lately, strawberries with mold, blueberries and raspberries with no flavor.

We eat a metric shitton of fruit at the house, my boys just inhale the stuff.
