Freeman had no mental toughness. When it got tough he bailed. That's not attractive in any line of work.

I think both sides of this ordeal are guilty of causing this trainwreck

You mean when the head coach who didn't like him told him to go away?

Not disagreeing, but what do you think Dominik/Schiano have done wrong with this situation?

He bailed on this team long before being released.

He bailed on it before Schiano even arrived.

I'm sure he will clear waivers with the contract that he has.

sounded like his agent and co. were leaking info out there to absolutely kill any trade value he had to force the bucs' hand
Uhh, that makes no sense.

Schiano from the start seemed determined to kind of undermine him to the media (just or not) and then backed off right before camp about it being a competition. Just him toeing the water like that and pussing out does nothing but bad things

Then they had that story about them asking Freeman to miss a team meeting and some players thinking it was done to make it seem like he blew it off. Whether its true or not, its obvious that the Players think hes atleast capable of doing something bush league like that and Freeman might not be the only one with a problem with Schiano. And some of the stories about Freeman got leaked from somewhere, Bucs would be an obvious canidate

Its just the way they approached the whole situation that made it a huge deal.

Im in no way absolving Freeman from being a headcase and a bad QB fwiw

Just a brain, and accuracy.

Kinda need those to be a successful NFL QB.

He can't read a defense, but can have success playing "sandlot ball", IMO.

That what he did when he looked good in 2010.

Played better than the golden boy Andrew Luck last year.

Are you comparing a guy who has been in the league five years to a rookie?

Why would they want to get him cut, instead of traded. In a trade he gets his current salary. In a cut, someone will try to sign him for much less than the salary he was making.

If so, it was by the slimmest of margins

Schiano will be next
Any colleges with an opening will be his next gig

Tampa Bay Bucs organization are looking just as bad in all of this.

Early yes, late no.

I would hope that a fourth year QB with better weapons would play better than a rookie.

If you get cut, you still get paid full salary?

If he is on the roster week 1, his salary becomes fully guaranteed.
