Great show, one of my favorites of all time that went out the right way.
I was an avid watcher until season 5(for reasons explainable by watching), than casually watched it but really tuned into the last few episodes.
Recently purchased the digital copies of the last few seasons. It was a great conclusion to the story. Enjoy it.

I did the same thing. I used to love it, but for some reason I had to stop following it. I remember I stopped watching right when Vic and Shane became enemies. I want to watch the show from beginning to end.

Much better than Sons of Anarchy.

do yourself a favor and watch it. Of all the modern protagonists, Vic Mackey is a Jedi master of "speed chess". Also, the ascent of Ronnie, plus the Dutch/Billings partnership was worth watching.
That show had a phenomenal ensemble cast. How Walton Goggins, CCH Pounder and Jay Karnes were never nominated for Supporting Actor Emmys is beyond me.
Also, the "seasonal" guest stars of Glenn Close, Anthony Anderson, Forest Whitaker and Michael Pena is top notch.
ETA: and Franka Potente

Absolutely, especially Anthony Anderson. He played the role perfectly. It's awesome because I had only seen him in comedic roles before that performance.
You've pumped me up. I'm going to get it. Thanks.

He's great as a villain. Should be doing better work.

The Shield is excellent and should not be missed.
I don't understand the need to compare shows in general. With so much crap out there, when shows are either good or great why not just enjoy them while you can?

Some of the scenes between Vic and Forrest Whittaker's character were just absolutely amazing.

Loved the show. My gamertag on xbox is Vic Mackey.

I always wanted to see that show. The wife and I just finished all of Breaking Bad thanks to Netflix/AMC and were looking for another good show.
